One observation I wanted to make about yesterday`s Satsang. We did not confine our discussions to" Where is God?" I have a suggestion. why cant we redistribute this satsangs into smaller parts according to area wise so that it will be convenient to most of the people in respective countries and zones. for example people from India can have sometime, people from other countries can have some other time. also, there can be different moderators for different zones. finally we can collate them together and it will be easier to discuss points then, otherwise as it grows larger n larger one person managing the entire thing becomes too difficult. i hope u rethink on this and work out an alternative. all of us can circulate the transcripts so tht the webmaster can keep track of them. i feel so because instead of 100 ppl participating in a satsang at one time, it will be very useful if a group of 10ppl splitting into 10 groups discuss n participate, then the effectivity will increase and will be more appealing. It goes without saying the new Online Satsang Groups will identify the periodicity,the day , timing and duration for the Online Satsang in consultation with the concerned particpating members. For this purpose, the first step lies in identifying/nominating or getting a suitable Moderator for the Satsang session. Brother Pratap Thakkar has stated that we are not getting more than 10 members to particpate in online Satsang. No doubt, this is a fact. In the opinion of this humble self,the optimum number of particpants for online Satsang sessions could be ten or fifteen or even more. What is more important is consisitency and regularity in participation and also contributing effectively to the discussions in the Satsang. If the experience of this humble self in particpating in the Online Satsang sessions so far held is any guide, it is becoming increasingly difficult to pursuade and retain the particpants in discussion for one full hour. While some particpants are joining late, some leave the Satsang prematurely. Some Participants decline to join when invited by the moderator even though they have registered themselves with the moderator.There are some who are no doubt punctual but drag the discussions away from the topic fixed for the day, thereby derailing the Online Satsang. Unless we can see Swamy`s prescence in the Satsang, participants will not take it seriously. The Online Satsang is definitely not intended to be a "timepass". Each particpant is well aware of the topic for discussion. Notice is generally given 7 days in advance. All particpants are expected to do their homework by studying appropriate SAI LITERATURE and come prepared to discuss on the topic fixed for discussion. Very few particpants seem to take the Satsang seriously. There are a number of issues concerning appropriate disciplines to be followed in connection with the Satsang. The Moderator faces lots of problems in the course of the Satsangh. Before starting new Satsang sessions, the above and similar other issues need to be addressed properly if the new sessions were to function meaningfully and successfully.
