Respected Ranjan ji,

 

In the Hindu thought ' prayashchit' or repentance is done for a

Guilt ; the closet Hindi word for it is ' aparadh bodh'.

 

The concept of 'prayashchit' or repentance has been there in the

mythological stories since ever.
