[vedic astrology] Saturn and Moon in 12th House

Dear Shri. Pramod:

Combination of Saturn and Moon in the 12th house is an indicator of an

introverted personality wherein the person lives an inner life of his

own due to subconscious stirrings. In an ordinary horoscope where

spiritual tendencies are not apparent, this may lead to depressive

tendencies and a tendency to be melancholic and withdrawn. In a

higher horoscope that has indications of good spiritual progress, it

may mean a mature dispassion towards life.

In this horoscope, a "parivraja" yoga operates....Moon in a Navamsa of

Mars and is aspected by Saturn in the RAsi chart makes one an ascetic.

So, I will not be surprised if this native embraces a highly

spiritual life and shuns materialistic living for spiritual progress.

Of course, other factors of the horoscope need to be looked into which

you can do yourself.

As embracing an ascetic life is as good as end of a life and beginning

of a new one, this combination will not mean shortened longevity in

this case.

Dear Shri. Pramod:

Mrityunjaya japam is an all-pervading remedy which

could help in any situation. But, for this native,

the worship of Aadya Kali by chanting Kaalika

ashtottarasada sthothram or chanting Kaali beeja

mantras "Om Kreem kaalikaayai namaha" might be of

better help. Meditating on Pratiyangira Devi

(atharvana Bhadrakaali) on Ashtami and Pournami days

and chanting "Om Ksham Pratiyangiraayai namaha" 108

times or still better 1008 times will definitely help

her to reduce her over sensitivity and render her

tough to face the practicalities of life in addition

to pursuit of spirituality.

Dear Panditji:

In the instances you have mentioned, the lagna lord

itself will be in 12th house which will further

accenuate the introvert tendencies. If the pravraja

yoga that I have mentioned as it exists in the

horoscope stated in the first instance by our member

exists in such horoscopes, they are sure to become

great ascetics and saints.
