Guest guest
Dear Manjula I learnt the following : Some astrologers are of the opinion that Kala Sarpa yoga arises only if all the planets are hemmed in between Raahu and Ketu (from Rahu to Ketu) and if all planets are hemmed in between Ketu and Raahu (from Ketu to Rahu) Kaala Amruta Yoga arises which is highly beneficial. However, this view is not accepted by all astrologers The basic principle of Kaala Sarpa Yoga is that a house or planet prospers if the house of planet is hemmed in between benefics, and suffer if the planet or house is hemmed in between malefics. Naturally, when all the planets are hemmed in between malefics like Rahu and Ketu, the nativity is spoiled. Neither Kaala Sarpa Yoga nor Kaala Amruta Yoga can make the destiny of an individual on their own merit. For best or for worst, they contribute to the progress or detriment of a native in combination with other benefic/malefic aspects of a horoscope. And also Rahu is the duplicate of Saturn, and Ketu is the duplicate of Mars in giving results. Thus, if Saturn and Mars are yogakarakas for the ascendant, or are under the control of benefics for the ascendant, Kala Sarpa Yoga gets transformed into Kaala Amruta Yoga. manjula <pong4737 > wrote: Does the Rahu & Ketu in Kendra Place form any Kal Sarpa Dosha (Rahu in 7 th Place & Ketu in Lagna . Guest guest
Sarmaji, The problem with your recommendation is that it is not clear if you are taking into account the dominant movement of rahu and ketu (retrograde)? Let is say rahu is in leo and ketu in aquarius (no confusion there!), if planets are in virgo to capricorn would we consider it KSY or would we do the same if planets were in cancer to pisces? What if rahu-ketu were direct instead of retrograde at the moment of birth (true positions!)? You see -- it is not all that easy and direct or directly simple! Me, I would go with BVR's recommendation on KSY -- when the planets flank the ascendant as opposed to the 7th! That actually has a seed of a hint there because it involves ascendant -- the portal through which soul chose to express into this 3 dimensional worldly reality! What if the KSY involves the arudha or as Sanjay Rath ji calls the maya lagna, the image as we project in this world? What if the KSY is around the arudha or lagna pada? <Food for thought> There are articles in A.M that describe KSY and KAY that differ from your understanding to some extent. Please consider!! There is already a lot of confusion in jyotish -- let us not increase it further without EXAMPLES, please! , Ravindra Nath Sarma Mantha <mrn_sarma wrote: > > Dear Manjula > > I learnt the following : > > Some astrologers are of the opinion that Kala Sarpa yoga arises only if all the planets are hemmed in between Raahu and Ketu (from Rahu to Ketu) and if all planets are hemmed in between Ketu and Raahu (from Ketu to Rahu) Kaala Amruta Yoga arises which is highly beneficial.
