Guest guest
Sairam sister April! What a beautiful song you have written. I wish I could hear it with full music. Well, following Swami's words exactly, and to be more specific, may be you can change the last refrain of the sentence "*God lives in India*" (at the end of the song) to "*God lives in Puttaparthi*" or "*God lives in Parthi*" as and how the rhythm of the song permits. This is just a thought that ran through my mind when I went through this wonderful song. Because even these words of Swami ask us to direct people to "*Puttaparthi*" specifically. *Quote* "When some one asks you in great earnestness where the lord is to be found ,do not dodge ; give them the answer that rises on to your tongue from your heart , direct him to "*puttaparthi" *and invite him to share your joy. *Unquote* What I meant was: Love made a promise long ago That He would come to Earth again And the wise have always prayed that they'd know When He comes and how to recognize Him But there are some who doubt that He cares They depend on someone else But He made a promise that He'd come here Yes the Lord had said that He would come Himself Now think! Would anyone stand and watch a drowning man No. You'd dive in and pull him to land So if God has come before He would not wait and ignore That we need Him to dive in and pull us safely ashore And that's what He's done He's come to Earth He has dived in yes love has taken birth So I'm not afraid and not ashamed to say that CHORUS: God Lives In India! God Lives In India! God Lives In India Today! Love made a promise long ago And He has kept his word But we don't always say that we know Out of fear that some will think that it's absurd And while its true that God is everywhere He's even in the heart of man But today I must confess that we're all very blessed For we're privileged to see God walking on land Now think! Would anyone stand and watch a drowning man No. You'd dive in and pull him to land So if God has come before He would not wait and ignore That we need Him to dive in and pull us safely ashore And that's what He's done He's come for you and me So that with Him we'll be one And then we'll be free So I'm not afraid and not ashamed to say that *CHORUS: God Lives In Parthi! God Lives In Parthi! God Lives In Parthi Today! Jai Sairam! Pardha *
Guest guest
Sai Ram Saisandesh , Why do you suggest to change India to Parthi - why ?( I understand because of birth place....) India is to make understand all mankind irrespective of which counrty he or she belongs so that all can tread towards India where our beloved Swami said - "Avatars will only be born in India ". India is the punya bhoomi where India is holding the dharma, well from my end I think we shouldn't change nothing- let the lyrics of the song remain intact without any changes This my humble opinion and I hope I didn't offend you. Guest guest
Sai Ram Sai Sandesh, Thank you, very much, for your kind words and suggestions. However, the song has already been recorded and Our Beloved Lord Sai has blessed the CD. He has, also, granted us the wonderful blessing of making the CD, "God Lives In India" available through Sri Sathya Sai Books and Publications Trust, Prasanthi Nilayam. If you would like to hear sound bytes from the CD, you may want to visit our website at: www.thebaileysisters.com We worked on the CD for many years and prayed for years to be able to sing our musical expressions of love, and devotion, in the Divine Presence. If it is His will, we will be blessed to sing some of these songs in Our Beloved Lord's Divine Presence soon. Thank you, once again. Guest guest
Sai Ram, The lyrics of the song are so befitting to be sung on a WORLD FORUM, that the change being suggested seems more of an after thought and like a forced correcting where none is required. My dear - do not limit your vision of Baba only to PUTTAPARTHY - BABA IS UNIVERSAL and a national honour. Please expand your vision and see Baba everywhere - at all places at all times. Swami did ask devotees to direct all to PUTTAPARTHY, but that was to all listeners in His immediate physical presence. To a distant devotee ~ a far near ~ they tell their friends - we are going to India to Sai Baba - the relevance of Parthy or Puttaparthy is to devotees who have been there. You must be knowing about our Eightieth Birth Anniversary project. When it started it was SAI 80 and somehwere down the line inner inspiration came to correct it to SAI AT (Always There). The limit of 80 was shattered by the immense vastness of AT, although both sound similar. Has not Swami said in His Birthday discourse - that we celebrate His Body's birth day - while HE was Always There from the biginning of TIME. So anyone who does not understand SAI AT will point our mistake for incorrectly naming our 80th Birth Anniversary Project. There is a folk story about Human Behaviour - An artist made a work of art and placed it at the town square - asking people to point mistakes by circling them - by evening the whole picture was full of circles. The artist made another picture - and put it at the town square, however, this time he placed his brushes and paints and asked the viewers to 'correct' any mistake they see. Even after a week there were no corrections. Sai Ram ~ Be Happy JP ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Sai Sandesh <saisandesh > wrote: Sairam sister April! What a beautiful song you have written.
