Guest guest
Hi, I saw some posts about this the other day, but couldn't find them just now. I saw the movie last night and thought it was amazing. Deepa Mehta's movie was deeply affecting and beautiful, a seemingly simply rendered complex work. I think it's a more honest portrayal of religion than anything that has been done in the west about Christianity. It is on a par with Riane Eisler's The Chalice & The Blade in that way, acknowledging the economics and tragedy behind particular versions of "faith."
