Guest guest
Dear Prafulla, When I learned jyotish the first thing that I got hit with was the variety of ayanamshas and the claims that followed soon thereafter! Then came the dashas, nakshatra and rashi dashas. I being an individual of rather modest means (intellectually speaking) I can just adore amazingly at individuals who master so many dashas and techniques and hop from one to another fluidly and describe the charts and nativities. Nearly all articles that we read describe so many charts within each expose' and devoting barely a few lines to each. There is so much to talk about and describe. I can sense their excitement but at the same time also the confusion in their readers! Quite frankly, one who is into astrology more or less 'swanta sukhkhaay' has to be rather modest these days and expect and accept modest gains, modest success because for most astrology students and practitioners, it is never really going to be 100% or even close! Is that because technique is lacking or is it because that is the nature of the beast? The human beast, let loose by its progenitor, God -- to wander in the Garden of Eden, where allegorically it was approached by the Serpant that was named devil by some but knowledge and free- will by others! The allegory did say that one bite of the apple of wisdom and eve was not eve any more! Serpant, rahu, ketu, wisdom, free-will -- let us just leave it there, untouched, unsaid. Given the uncertain birthtimes, defective memories and a variety of other uncertain unknowns, leave it to a pragmatic and bright individual like you to figure out the best path, and reduce confusion, as very aptly described in your messages. It is wise to not put all eggs in the same basket, such as dashas and subperiods, but to take a 3 dimensional or even multidimensional look at reality -- dashas, transits and so on. I, at some stage, started pursuing transits (rashi chart as well D charts) as initial factor, dasha as secondary factor - and have most of the time, identified that planets in transit will always coincide (associate - conjunction, relate with natal one etc) mutually, if they have relationship in dasha (I am referring to vimshottari only) and when they associate first, very often, will be the correct begining point of that sub period. I used this for rectification of chart or adjusting of dasha (for begining period). and if such corelation exists, then only the event will materialize. > > List members might also have exprienced such relationship between main dasha / sub period. I rarely venture into sub sub period, as I somehow, feel much more comfortable with transit (read with on D charts as well) than dasha. > > regards / Prafulla Gang > > " It took two thousand generations to make a man from a monkey, but only two to make a monkey out of man " >
