Guest guest
Hi Dear Uttara and Sight Solutions, This is an interesting thought you’ve brought up. And your response Uttara, as well. My significator book lists “Overeating and maladies from – Jupiter” as you’ve written below. To look deeper into this and the other things that Jupiter signifies such as health, wisdom, knowledge, honor, truthfulness, morality, justice, compassion, religious leader, etc.. and then the opposite when afflicted, misjudgement, lawsuits, lack of compassion, etc. and physically as allergies, asthma, thrombosis, and other disease associated with Kapha, as well as overeating, etc., we can see this imbalance or affliction in general. Expansion of consciousness is the 9H, again Jupiter is karaka for 9H. 9H represents Dharma, Vedic science, support of nature, merits from past lives, fortunes, wisdom, meditation, remedies (medicine, yagya, tapas etc), life philosophy, world view, religion, faith, guru, worship, piety, morality, ethics, higher education, professional training, children, solution to problems, visits to shrines, pilgrimages, foreign travels, air travels. This is given on Wendy’s website along with the significators for Jupiter above. As always thanks for this access and your website Wendy. Consciousness itself is listed as the Moon. We come back to understanding the all importance of Moon in Vedic Astrology and our state of consciousness. The soul, the atma, is the Sun, and the importance of both luminaries in astrology. In Light on Life, the authors write: “Atma Jyoti Parama Dhama means that atma (the soul) or pure awareness is also the light, and that one should seek to attain that light of life with the help of Jyotish.” Also, “Jyotish is the study of all facets of the ‘lords of light’: the Sun, Moon, planets and stars.” As this is being discussed Jupiter and Venus are in mutual 7H aspect, at very close degrees. Guest guest
Hi Dear Kamal, Thanks for sharing your chart and also your kind words as well as your thoughts on obesity and your trouble right now with weight. It is kind and brave of you to share this and allow us to learn from this. For me personally, it's a good opportunity to understand the way the Ayurvedic doshas work and are expressed in a chart. Checking your chart shows transiting Jupiter, not only exactly on your natal ascendant degree, but also exactly in mutual 7H aspect with your lagnesh Venus. TMars in debility in Cancer (A Kapha rasi) giving 4H aspect onto both your lagna and this TJupiter. (Eating is signified by Mars.) Natal Mars owns 2H of food and in Rahu's star as well as conjoined Rahu in Navamsa. TRahu in MB degree in Jupiter's 6H, and TSun, another karaka for body, and natural enemy to Venus as well badhakesh for your chart, in 8H. In general Venus is natural enemy to Jupiter as well in current transit great enemy. In your natal chart however, Venus is a temporal friend of Jupiter, making their relationship more neutral, but the current transit is very different from this. Your lagnesh in natal chart is exalted in 6H Pisces, a Kapha rasi. Venus itself is given as Kapha/Vata, however exalted in Pisces leans this Venus much stronger towards Kapha dosha. Lagnesh is also between great enemy Sun, who deposits Kapha Moon, and Ketu who co-owns 2H of food and is in Jupiter's star. Jupiter himself is place in 3H, and in own sign, Sagittarius. Jupiter influencing this normally Pitta rasi with more Kapha. Also 3H house is not a good placement for Jupiter. Jupiter is a very important planet in your chart due to lord of lagnesh and giving this lagnesh exalted state. And importantly he is final depositor of all planets. As well Sagittarius is your navamsa lagna and your Rasi chart lagnesh Venus is again in 6H, this time conjoined Kapha Moon, in mutual and great enemy Sun's house. (And in your natal chart Moon is large and waxing giving Kapha influence on natural Pitta Sun as well.) In this Navamsa chart Jupiter is lagnesh and is in another very Kapha rasi of Cancer (and conjoined Ketu.) As Jupiter owns 3 and 6 houses, two dusstanas, with Libra ascendant, Jupiter would benefit from upayas. Also, as I've written earlier, I think this is a very good time for learning to meditate for you, or if you know how to meditate, then to be sure to begin to practice. (This also due to TSaturn in your 10H, 12th house from natal Moon.) Saturn and Venus are in nakshatra parivartana in your natal chart and you are in Saturn bhukti, Mahadasha of Rahu. Due to this nakshatra parivartana of Venus and Saturn, natal Saturn's placement with Jupiter in 3H Sagittarius also then increases Jupiter's influence on your lagna. Ketu in this house, in nakshatra of Jupiter, is co-owner of 2nd house (partaking of food). Guest guest
Hi Dear Kamal, PS: I wrote: "TRahu in MB degree in Jupiter's 6H." Importantly, I should also have included in my writing that this TRahu, (and you are in Rahu bhukti) is also very near and approaching by degree your exalted lagnesh in Pisces, your 6H. Which again is owned by Jupiter and Jupiter EXACTLY on your ascendant and in mutual 7H aspect EXACTLY by degree with lagnesh TVenus. Transiting Jupiter in Rahu's star. Interestingly though both your Mahadasa Saturn, and bhukti lord, Rahu are themselves Vata, both are transiting in Kapha signs. Saturn deposits 2H lord in both rasi and navamsa chart, Mars, and in navamsa is in a parivartana with Mars, and the current transit of Saturn and debilitated Mars conjoined in Cancer, a Kapha rasi, also the sign for nourishment and food. Guest guest
Dear Kamal, I apologize for the delay in my response. However, I have seen that both Patrice and Wendy have responded to your concern and I have to say that I couldn't of said it better. These are the experts in their delineations and interpretations! I hope you have found their answers and wise counsel helpful. The increase of weight is always a concern and very disturbing when one feels that it could be out of their control. Expansion of our waistlines and body figure are a part of maturing but none the less frustrating. Transits make some phases more challenging. It is interesting to read Patrice's knowledge on the doshas and her recommendations along with Wendy's knowledge of 6th house and its relationship with appetite. I would have concentrated more on the 2nd house, its ruler and transits, missing many of the fine points that both Patrice and Wendy explained. Your chart is a wonderful study of the issue and I want to also thank you for presenting it here for a group lesson. Guest guest
Hi Patrice, Thanks for your note and you are also welcomed. I am off to bed to try and sleep. It's the eyes, the heart and the head among other things. Under doctors care though, so not to worry that I am ignoring my health. Take care, As Always, Uttara Patrice Curry <patricecurry (AT) adelphia (DOT) net> wrote: Hi Dear Uttara, Thank you for your very sweet comments.
