Guest guest
Please dont let anyone discourage you from singing your beautiful songs!! Some of my favorite satsangs have been at black christian churches where the music is pure hearted, electrifying and a blessing to all. I have had arguments with some people who think that because I am not Indian in this life, I should not sing Indian songs, that I ruin them. I choose to sing them anyway because I love them and I love singing them to Amma. It can be all ego and very stressful, or it can be a way to glorify the LORD...Glory glory glory! > > > Om Namashivaya - In Amma's service, > > Supriti Omenka Nnadi > >
Guest guest
greetings dear beloved brothers and sisters.please be so kind to let AMMAs sun share this.if you look at AMMAs old video footage, you will notice how emotionally expressed SHE is as SHE sings.that is because AMMA is FREE.. african americans have a similar freedom when they sing..during slavery times ,we sang negro spirituals in order to maintain our sanity and this brought us joy when there was none. we brought our emotional expresion with us from AFRICA..and it is still in the african american church today..other cultures come to these churches and they get caught up in this DIVINE FREEDOM OF EXPRESSION.... this is why they labeled black american music SOUL MUSIC..AMMA sings in this SOULFULL WAY and so do MOST BLACK CHURCHES......... >"ckeniley2003" <ckeniley2003 > >Ammachi >Ammachi > Re: Showing Off. >Mon, 05 Jun 2006 02:15:28 -0000 > >Please dont let anyone discourage you from singing your beautiful >songs!! > >Some of my favorite satsangs have been at black christian churches >where the music is pure hearted, electrifying and a blessing to all. > >Ammachi, Omenka Supriti Nnadi <oomenka> >wrote: > > > > In the African tradition and in the bible, MAKE A JOYFUL NOISE >UNTO THE LORD is not showing off.
