Dear Uttara,

Just quickly before I switch off - about to go out for the day...

My source is the series of books by 'Doris Chase Doane' (I'm sure

I've mentioned this before). They've been on my library shelf since I

first started studying Astrology - requisite tools of the trade

before the days of computer software :-)

Dear Wendy,

  Thanks!!

Yes, you have mentioned Doris Chase Doane before in your references.  So, I appreciate that you have noted her and her series of books here again.

I know I must have her in one of my piles of paperwork, as a note to order her books!!

Hope your day was a good one!

June 4th, it is my husband's 59th birthday - where does the time go?!

  As Always,

Dear Uttara,

This is interesting. I would like to more about this

so that we could arrive at the right time of birth for

Padre Pio.

I am doing research on Longevity. I am in the process

of developing a technique of arriving at dasha/bhukti

of death given the birth details of a person. I think

I am almost there but for a few glitches.

When I first got Padre Pio's time of birth as 16:10

GMT+2, I analysed his chart and arrived at the period

of death as Venus/Satrun which matched with the date

of his death. I was happy to get one more data point

to prove my theory. However, subsequently, we had some

more discussion with different LMTs suggested for him.

Everytime I analysed Padre Pio's chart with the new

LMT suggested. However, none of these are giving me

Venus/Satrun as the period of death. It could be due

to a flaw in my technique/framework. I may need to

work on my theory further and improve it. In any case,

I am keen on finding out if by 1887, some parts of

Italy was using the standard time zone or not. If so

whether Padre Pio's time of birth was really 16:10 hrs

GMT+2.

Regards,

Krishna

Dear Krishna,

If I might add my thoughts here :-)

You Wrote (to Uttara):

I think the only doubt that needs to be cleared away is whether

Petietrelcina is in the Italian Peninsula region (which observed Rome

local time during his year of birth) or whether Petietrelcina is in

the Sardinia region of Italy, or the Sicily region. These three areas

observed a different time when Padre Pio was born. So, which area

Petietrelcina falls in is the question to be asked, wouldn't you say?

//When I first got Padre Pio's time of birth as 16:10

With the T.O.B. (according to his birth record) of 17:00 local time,

my PL software, which I rely upon, calculates the T.Z. (for that

date) as -00:50:24. This gives lagna 17°05'19" Libra. The dasa

running at time of death is given as VE-SA-SU.

Looking at the transit chart for that day, Sun, along with Ketu &

Moon, was transiting 12th house. Venus, transiting 3rd lord Jupiter

(in lagna) was joined by 12th lord Mercury...close conjunction

(within 1°). Transit Saturn, significator for death/longevity was

aspecting lagna, transit lagna lord, as well as natal lagna lord...

Perhaps we might consider the significance of the mutual aspect

between Saturn and ME/VE bearing in mind that they (also) own the

12th and 8th respectively...could this perhaps be the catalyst for

Saturn to assume his responsibility for death. And, as we know, 4th

house (owned by Saturn) governs endings, conditions at close of life

and so forth...

Best Wishes,

Mrs. Wendy
