Mother :what should be done to remove the dirt from mind?

 

Mother:  If the mind is to become pure,love for god should

come.Virtues shuld come .The main obstacle to becoming closer to god

is our selfishness.selfishness automatically falls off when we feel

compassion for others.just as the saline taste

dissappears when fresh water is added to salt water,the bad leave us

when good is constantly thought of. See, ow many poor people are

suffering around us without shelter,clothes,food or proper medical

care.We will lose our selfishness when we become compassionate to

them.

 

Suppose we smoke 10 rs cigarette a day.in one month i.e 300 Rs.How

much money will it be if calculated like this ? A small hut can be

built for a poor man to sleep in that  amount for one year

smoking.Presently , we are not understanding that bliss is not in

the cigarette but in us.

 

You children might ask "then what about cigar manufacturers?"

they themselves are saying cigar is dangerous to health of body and

mind,those who have discrimination will withdraw from it.

 

Children find satisfaction in other's happiness.for example ,suppose

we r comfortable seated in abus. An elderlt person gets at the next

stop and there is no vacant seat.Immediately getting up from ur

seat ,you should make room for him to sit.Like this we will become

worthy of god's grace when each one of our selfishness is given up,

negative qualities thus get destroyed.

 

We are all children of one mother.The same eagerness which we have

to apply medicine to our burnt hand we must show to others.If the

left arm is burnt does the right arm refuse to apply mmedicine

saying "It is not me wh has burn?"  "I"

permeates the whole body. The pain in one part of the body is

experienced by all other parts.

 

Like wise  we are unknowingly experiencing the pain of even small

creature because smae consciousness pervades everywhere.Children,

always act with compassion understanding this.We should not expect

fruit of our actions.It is enough to dedicate to God.he will give

what we need.
