Guest guest
Dear brothers and sisters, Om Amriteswaryai Namaha, In "Awaken Children" Vol6 Chapter 2, There is a story of an arrogant swami who came to Amma's Ashram. He demanded to be treated with respect, comfortable accomodations, and good food. He was condescending to all the brahmacharis serving him. He was even condescending to Amma. His arrogance was such that he even wanted to teach Amma. The brahmacharies wanted to protect Amma from such abuse. They wanted to beat up the arrogant swami. Amma restrained them. Amma was very patient with the arrogant condescending swami. Amma tried Her best to talk some sense into him for a few days. Eventually Amma exposed him as a fraud, telling She knew that he never was initiated into swamihood. Even then, the swami remained stubborn and arrogant; and left the ashram. There was news later that he did change his ways. He went into solitude to do some humble sadhana instead of posing as an advanced swami teacher. May Amma's Love and Teachings guide us always. Even in the case of Swami Paramatmananda whom I love and respect very much having read most of his books and listened to his satsang cassettes; S.P. was older than most brahmacharies and had about 12 years on the spiritual path during which he developed some disciple. So, in the yearly days, he felt he should instruct the young brachmacharies about discipline. But, Amma told S.P. "please, leave my children alone!" May Amma Kali Bless us all, amarnath
