Om Amrtesvaryai Namah!

Namaskarams to all my beloved brothers and sisters!!

Much love to you all!!!

i wouldn't say that we were so much "offended" by  "Earth", as

unconvinced of the validity of what some of the characters were up

to...especially the hindu girl...easwari particularly felt that her

actions were not realistic in her own experience of growing up as a

hindu girl in the more recent past....

also i don't really like to watch the violent stuff, as it is too

disturbing, so i just had to fast forward through that stuff...the

movie left me with a very sad and depressed feeling however, and i

wouldn't recommend it as being an uplifting or spiritually charged

story...in just the same way i do not enjoy watching the violence in

any movies or tv shows really, unless it is so obvious choreographed

and "danced" out so as to be not taken too seriously...or is an

important tool in the establishment of "dharma", like in the

Kurukshetra war....too sensitive i guess.

but again, what do we really know about what is going on in

India...Easwari is from Malaysia, and her family are pretty

traditional...she says she could never have  gotten away with such

behaviour.

i didn't see any particular Hindu bashing unless it was along with the

general bashing of both Hindus and Muslims for their beastly behaviour

with each other, both in those days and now too.

anyways i do not think any the less of you Manoj...after all you are

my beloved brother, who often explains what i was trying to say, even

better than i do! i was just complaining about the movie not being as

good as i'd hoped it might be, given your recommendations....i guess

easwari and i are just too old fashioned and conservative...would

probably fit in more with your parents' generation and their views on

things!

yes...i believe that Amma is laughing hilariously at us and all our

little dramas over such insignificant things as movies....i know i

think it's pretty funny myself...and i love it that your wife picked

up "Water"....Mother is pretty amazing....

hope you both enjoy it!

in Amma's Divine Love,

and in Her Service,

as ever,

visvanathan (and easwari)
