Guest guest
Dear Prajna, RSS would be the last organization on this planet to attack Ammachi. I am sure you got that from extremely Left centered Indian English media. If you look at Amritapuri website you get clear picture of Ammachi's relationship with RSS. Narender Modi- the Chief Minster (Like Govern er of a US state) of Gujarat is the poster boy of RSS and is extremely generous whenever Ammachi visits Gujarat. http://amritapuri.org/news/03/603amdavad.php When Ammachi started relief work for 2001 Earthquake, Narender Modi named 3 villages after Ammachi. http://www.amritapuri.org/disaster/equake/guj2001/blessed.php Chief ministers from other states with RSS background are always humble to Ammachi http://www.amritapuri.org/children/interview/umabharati.php http://amritapuri.org/news/03/603jaipur.php Now when Ammachi visits to Marxist ruled West Bengal no elected official ever attends her program. Its always businessmen or civil servant who accompany Ammachi. http://photos.amritapuri.org/bharat/2006/kolkata06.php?sn==2 Over the years I have observed RSS are not really fundamentalist as potrayed by the media. They are volunteer organization primarily involved in selfless service, They run schools and help poor. http://archives.amritapuri.org/matruvani/vol-01/mar01/01mv03dark.htm Without their help my neighbors wouldn't have made it from Multan( Now in Pakistan). There are other violent groups responsible for deaths of thousands of people in India, Like Islamic Militants (responsible for death of 80,000 people since 1989 and media calls them 'Freedom fighters' fighting for freedom of Kashmir), then there are Naxalites-the Leftist militia killed more than 10,000 people in the past two decades (Media compares them to Robin Hood). Out of all existing Left Wing extremists in the world, Naxalites are second only to Colombian FARC. RSS pales in front these people but still they are called fundamentalists. My opinion aside, Ammachi on her North India trip to India stopped at Nagpur. RSS Main office is located in Nagpur, So she payed a visit to RSS office as they where celebrating RSS founder's (Dr Hegdewar) birth centenary. This is what she as to say about the founder: http://www.organiser.org/dynamic/modules.php?name==Content&pa==showpage&pid=1&page=# Indian Media writes lot of things, its confusing for Westerners whom to be live or whom not be live. My advice is to read David Frawley's writ tings. www.vedanet.com DF is an American who is annually paying visits to India for past two decades has understood the system very well. Aum Namahshivaya an Brianna <prajnaji > wrote: http://water.mahiram.com/ For Deepa's side of the story. Click on "Production" for the story of how the RSS (same fundamentalist group that has targeted Amma) sabotaged the filming. Deepa made the film because she saw real widow "ashrams" operating in present-day India.
