Guest guest
Dear Pandit Tata, Namaste!!! I agree. It is hard to photograph a quartz ball. The piece in example is already long gone. But we have another ball weighing 2200 carats set with 300 diamonds we're planning to give to H.M. the King on this 60th anniversary of his ascending the throne of Siam. In about one month we'll arrange it through our royal connections. Our 9 year old son is a student in the Palace here which is surrounded with a huge moat and machine gun toting Royal Guards all around. I'm the 1st videshi in Thailand to ever get their son into the Palace school, which is Royal Ultra HiSo and most exclusive even for rich Thai's. I was able to get our son into the palace school mainly because Prof Satya Vrat Shastri of Delhi, who previolusly had been prof of Sanskrit to HRH Princess Maha Chakri and was very loved by her. He wrote his personal request to the Princess for our son... the only favour he ever asked of them. BTW: Back in 1994 I got a completed 18 volume set of Srimad Bhagavat Sanskrit with Eng. Translations by my Gurudev. We have a special stand made for the books and put a 4 oz gold name plate also adorned with a blue sapphire (vairagya) and yellow sapp (vidya). We arranged through the President of the privy council to give to The King for his royal library. If you want to see what it looked like just http://www.generalprem.com/Kings-bhagavatam.html --- I'll find a picture of that huge crystal ball and put up ASAP. We will also rephotograph it and we'll try your suggestion. I've got Bangkoks top Jewelery photographer, Khun Adisorn. I found that crystal balls came out best on red background, even I wanted Indigo background still it didn't work, and the ball looked best on red. Note: Balls of crystal suck the light inside rather than lighting up themselves. And the Hexagonal crystal structure is the pattern in which all the flawless atoms (anu) are arranged in the crystal, regardless of external shape. On the other hand glass is amorphos (without pattern), and has no crystal structure. I think it is only natural Quartz crystal balls that can tell the future to siddhas. Not glass, and certainly not CRACKED crystal balls. How about my last message on Sacred Gemology book? So far there are 4 writers. If you see any other topics you want please let me know. When your material is collated and high res pics are ready then please send me on a CD, including hi res picture of yourself. I'll do the page design and layout and size and augment the pictures. I sent you some of my books so you can see my work. Please let me know when they arrive. They were sent 10 days back by surface bookpost (they're heavy books). Interesting... back in 1970s I was involved in building two still running schools in Vraja Dham, and My OTHER Gurudev had sent me to meet senior Mr Tata of Tata idustries, and he liked me. He gave a nice donation and ads on several occasions. I also stayed often as house guest of Jai Dayal Dalmia when visiting Delhi for dham-sheva. I had dinner every night with Dalmiaji. He was about 65 years old back then, maybe 70. Very skinny man. Our dinner was cooked by brahmins and served on solid gold thalis. Loads of great prasadam for me, BUT, poor Dalmiaji could only drink Barley Water. He couldn't eat solid food or ghee. It was ironic that thbe measure of wealth in India is GHEE, and he was India's most rich man, who could afford an ocean of ghee, and yet he couldn't eat one drop! I also was friends with Sada Jivit Lal in Bombay who owned huge sweets business in Bombay... had many branches named "Pujabi Chandu Halwai" Whenever I would visit him he gives me a plate full of the World's BEST sweets, but he himself was serious diabetic and he could NOT eat ANY sweets at all. Rama Teri maya!!! Best rgds, Richard Dear Richardji, Being a fashion garments exports man I value and admire presentation. Most of your photos are very good but this one is disappointing considering its size and the trimmings that go with it. A crystal must sparkle or glow - WHITE. So suggest you re-photograph it with a black/purple background and try to catch the glow/sparkle.
