Guest guest Posted June 2, 2006 Report Share Posted June 2, 2006 Performing arts fest Saturday in Spanish Fork SPANISH FORK — The fifth annual Himalayan Performing Arts Festival will be Saturday in Spanish Fork. The event will begin at 6 p.m. at the Krishna Temple, 8628 S. Main, Spanish Fork. Admission is $3 for adults and $1 for children. It will feature food, music and traditional dances from India and Nepal. Actors from the Vaikuntha players will perform two dramas and a comedy, and a pair of films chronicling life in the Himalayas will also be shown. Prior to the festival, from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m., the temple will host a meeting on on Vedic Science, based on ancient Hindu texts. Ayush Goyal, an 18-year-old originally from India who last year earned a bachelor's degree in electrical and computer engineering from Boise State University, will speak at the meeting.
