A BC of a musician, Maurice Ravel

Dear Members,

Thank you for your light. This morning, I had a look on a birthchart of

a French musician, composer, M. Ravel, and tried to apply your

instruction and it works. See below, if you have some remarks to help

the student...

Born on 7 of March 1875 at 10:00 PM (TU 10H07) in Ciboure, France,

01°40W/43°23N.

AS Libra 12°38/ Moon 25°50 Aquarius

 

If I take only rasi (I have not worked yet on rectification of this BC,

I don't use DC for the moment)

Karaka Venus is Lord of I in 4 with the Ld of IV and V (entertainment);

we have a raja yoga here. Powerful in Shadbala

Karaka Moon is LD of 10 in V with Mercury and Sun ( but we have a not

good conjunction Sun/Moon, beside, the conjunction which may emphasize

the emotion side)

LD of III is in I, very near the cuspid of I (less 4 degrees).

Crowded Vth House show the important of this area in the life of native.

Satune, in front of Venus, has the strongest power in Sbala.

Saturn (1884-1903) : LD of V , raja Yoga with Venus, LD of I and VIII.

No comment, too clear!!! Ravel showed very early talent for music

Mercury : in V with Moon, LD of X and Sun, LD of XI , no comment

Kethu (1920-1927) in 12, Dispostor, Mercury is in V (I have to check his

life to see what's happen during this time). LD of nakshtra , Mars in

II, LD of II and VII.

Venus (1927-1947)No comment

interesting topic.

for music, an ear for the right chord/note, rythm and appropriate stress

on emotion where lyrics are concerned, (eg sad, happy, lullaby, etc).

all this for vocals.

for instrumental music its basically striking the right chords and the

rythm.

there are many musicians but only a few make a successful career out of

it.

we get to know of people who are successful as we hear them perform in

public.

 

having regard to these in mind i think we should proceed with the most

appropriate among planets.  venus comes first as it is a

karaka/significator for entertainment.  next comes moon which governs

our emotions.

then we have to look for the placements.  ideally these should have

connection with the 10H to make a career out of it.

if the 3H is connected it remains a hobby.  if connected with the 7H

then popularity, etc. may be inferred.

whenever venus and/or moon are found together in watery houses, 5H, 10H

i have noticed that these persons show musical talents and creativity.

10H reveals public performances. then one must look for the venus major

and minor periods taking the age of the person into consideration. 

this is from my personal experience.  shd these planets be weak in some

way like placements in enemy's house, etc.  then performing in groups or

chorus could be a strong possibility.

these are my personal observations.

others more learned can share their knowledge on this.

I just started but I noticed in most of case big connection between LD

of I and III, especially association like chart of, Belioz, Von Karajan

or Brahms,etc...
