Dear Members:

I have uploaded a new audio file - "Mahaa Mrityunjaya sthothram"

written by Maarkandeya Maharishi and is found in Maarkandeya Puraanam.

This is a powerful hymn; the general format of this sthothra is "some

praise to the qualities of Lord Shiva in the first line of each verse,

and the second line of each verse has the broad meaning "WE are

worshippers of Lord Shiva, so what can Death do to us?"

This sthothram gives immense courage and helps patients fighting grave

diseases when doctors have given all hope.  yes indeed; how can Death

touch a Devotee of Lord Shiva - the Mrityunjaya (The conqueror of

Death)?  We are all under His care, and He is incharge of our souls;

when our time comes to depart from this Earth, it is His Messengers

and not the messengers of Death who will take us to His Abode.  We

have nothing to fear about death or disease or any other trouble!

I have uploaded this file in the Paaraayanam groups (that is a paid

membership group) also where you will find many other similar powerful

hymns.  As a mark of goodwill to this group and also thinking that it

is the right of every shiva Bhakta to get benefitted by this wonderful

hymn I am posting the sthothram in this forum for the benefit of the

Shiva Bhaktaas who may not be in a position to acquire a paid

membership of my group.

Let the Grace of Lord Shiva Guide us all.

Blessed be.

Pandit. R.DAKSHINAMOORTHI.
