Guest guest
Dear Pt Tata & Amit, Namaste!!! Great. Please organize all your pictures in high resolution so you can send me on a CD (with text) for the book. I'll do all the photo work in Photoshop and layout-design the book in PageMaker Your outline idea is good, so all those are the points to cover. I think the order in which the READER would like to read is in this manner... ---Pictures ---Name of object ---What it does (shakti) ---Who presides (Deity associated) ---Method of usage (DOs & DON'Ts) ---Vedic References (Primary as possible) ---Current Legal Situation ---Current Value ---Current Availability (like Naga Mani???) ---Scientific info ---How to tell real from bogus? Now Sri Amit is fired up and so are we. So lets collate our information onto CD disks as Word Doc (including picture text captions)and send along with hi res photos in any format - I'll change to Tiff. Please match number each picture with the text, like pic 1 Text 1, Caption 1 (all go together) This book will be a first ever in any language. And a Hindi version will be desired by the public in India, and other languages. Delhi's famous Prof. Satya Vrat Shastri could even compose-translate the book INTO Sanskrit as he has done with other books. How about a Sanskrit translation? He is like a 2nd father to me and Godfather to our son, Jiva. Years ago he translated the Thai Ramakien (Ramayana) into Sanskrit SO GREAT, and received over 6 Ph Ds, and 54 Awards, including Padma Shri, as also he was the first non-Thai to get the DG award from Thailand's King Bhumibol. He's 76 now so we better hurry... Best rgds, Richard PS: I sent both you and Amit some gifts. sacred-objects, "Pt Siva Prasad Tata" <sptata> wrote: > > Dear Richardji & All, > Re the Sacred objects book project: Let us all try our best and make > it well compiled thorough professional job.
