Guest guest
Om Namah Sivaya “God cannot be seen so long as there is the slightest taint of desire. Therefore have your minor desires satisfied, and renounce the major ones through right reasoning and discrimination.” ----Sri Ramakrishna Tirumantiram by Rishi Tirumular (verse 2027): Senses are Like Ministers that Seek to Usurp the Body-Kingdom Five are the ministers, Ninety six (Tattvas) are within they, The Five and their brood of sons within Seek you to rule; If the Five in their fiery passion stand, Endless indeed is the tribute That to the Five we are to pay. Commentary: Five senses and the ninety-six tattvas reign supreme over you. The senses are like conspiring ministers that everplot to usurp the body-kingdom. Bhagavad Gita: >From Chapter III: The Yoga of Action 37. It is desire, it is anger born of the quality of Rajas, all-sinful and all-devouring; know this as the foe here (in this world). 38. As fire is enveloped by smoke, as a mirror by dust, and as an embryo by the amnion, so is this enveloped by that. 39. O Arjuna, wisdom is enveloped by this constant enemy of the wise in the form of desire, which is unappeasable as fire! Tirukural: (305) If a man be his own guard, let him guard himself against rage. Left unguarded, his own wrath will annihilate him. Sivaya Namah Try the all-new Mail .
