Guest guest
**** Sridham Mayapur is Growing! **** Dear Maharajas and Prabhus, Please accept my humble obeisances. All glories to Srila Prabhupada. All glories to Srila Prabhupada's Centennial Celebration. As time goes on more and more people are coming to spend time at Sri Mayapur Dhama. The Gaura Purnima Festival is a particularly busy time with hundreds of devotees visiting from all over the world. To accommodate the growing numbers of visiting devotees, pilgrims and guests, ISKCON Sri Mayapur has been continuously constructing guest houses of many varieties. I understand that most of you are anxious about your accommodation during your visits to Sridham Mayapur, particularly when you will arrive for next year's Gaura Purnima festival. In our humble attempt to please you, we have begun construction on the latest addition to the ISKCON Sri Mayapur complex: the Vamsi Bhavan, which should be ready by the end of January 1996. I therefore encourage you to please book your room now, and thus be able to stay in your own home here in Sri Mayapur Dhama. We are offering furnished rooms in the Vamsi Bhavan on the traditional "betnam" system. For a one time donation you get the use of the room of your choice, for sixty days per year, for each and every year of your life. We will manage your room during your absence and will always have it neat and clean for you. Any way you look at it you gain: - You help Srila Prabhupada build his transcendental city - You become a partner in the Sri Mayapur Project - You serve Sri Mayapur Dhama - You serve the Vaishnava pilgrims - You stay in comfort during your own visits to the dhama So secure a room for yourself, or your temple now. Or why not get together with a couple of friends and make your dream come true -- your own place in Sri Mayapur. Location The Vamsi Bhavan is situated between the new Gada Bhavan and the Chakra Bhavan on the northern side of the existing temple building towards Mahaprabhu's birthplace. The five- acre site will be completely landscaped with a central fountain to provide a garden environment for the new guest house. A paved road leads directly from the complex to the Sri Mayapur Chandrodaya Mandir, just a few minutes away. Accommodation This new guest house is specially designed for families and groups. Each unit is over 500 sft. in area with an attached bathroom, a kitchenette and a private verandah. The rooms are bright and breezy and are all overlooking gardens. Many rooms will have a beautiful view of the Ganges just a few hundred meters away. The buildings are four stories tall and arranged in a complex of four adjoining blocks. Furniture and finishing is deluxe standard, similar to the existing Conch Building. All together 82 units will be constructed. Availability This facility is being offered to ISKCON temples, ISKCON family and life-members. Rooms will be alotted on a "first come, first served" basis. ACT NOW! The offer is limited by the number of rooms available. Construction will begin by October 1995. Contribution The contribution for each of the units is US $12,500 or Rs. 4,00,000. This contribution entitles the donor to use the unit for him/her self or friends for a total of sixty days per year during the lifetime of the donor. In the case of companies, organizations, or trusts this facility will be available for twenty-five years. Consider the benefits and help Srila Prabhupada build the city of Mayapur for the greater glory of Lord Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu. The "betnam" system, given to us by Srila Prabhupada, is used in most holy places around India. It gives devotees the opportunity to serve the dhamas by paying for the construction of facilities for pilgrims. The donor not only gets to serve the dhama but also the Vaishnava pilgrims who stay in the rooms throughout the year. In reciprocation, the donors get use of the room(s), at a time of their own choosing, for sixty days annually for the rest of their lives.
