And if exalted Jupiter aspects Rahu, one's Kali worship will not go futile. And there are several other constraints. But if one is really interested , he can worship Kali as Bhavadharini(the form in which Ramakrishna Paramahamsa worshipped) irrespective of the astrological factors.
