Guest guest Posted May 28, 2006 Report Share Posted May 28, 2006 Dear Sai family, Om Sri Sai Ram.Swamiji has said : I have been stressing the vital importance of people giving up this habit of eating non-vegetarian food even from my childhood days.Meat eating fosters animal qualities in man making him descend to the demoniac level ; IT IS A HEART-RENDING SIGHT TO SEE COWS BEING SLAUGHTERED TO SERVE AS FOOD FOR MAN.THE COW HAS BEEN WORSHIPPED AS MOTHER IN BHARAT SINCE ANCIENT TIMES....COW SLAUGHTER IS REPUGNANT TO THE CULTURE OF THIS COUNTRY.The provision of drinking water to the people and putting an end to the killing of animals for food ARE TWO PRIME NEEDS FOR THE COUNTRY TO REGAIN ITS PRISTINE GLORY.Violence in any form is evil and TO KILL INNOCENT ANIMALS IS TANTAMOUNT TO BLATANT SAVAGERY.I bless the PRIME MINISTER ( of India ) and expect him to get these things accomplished during his tenure SANATHAN SARATHI,DECEMBER 1994. p.322 Beloved Sai family,I am humbly beseeching you who deem yourselves to love Swamiji so much that you are prepared to carry out His smallest request as an urgent command of His,to take note of something that Swamiji finds rather revolting and intolerable for the SACRED LAND OF INDIA. What we need is a devotee in INDIA who is prepared to sacrifice his/ her time to spearhead this noble cause of colllecting millions of signatures from INDIANS within INDIA and presenting the protest before parliament for its approval so that the eating of flesh, especially that of the cow ( our adopted mother ) and of the bull ( our adopted father ) will become illegal.Signatures can be collected from sincere Sai devotees and from all mandirs, etc.Then too, signatures can be collected from all sincere devotees overseas ( and there is hardly any country today without Sai centers ) to lend support to this humane gesture.INDIA has been the CRADLE OF SPIRITUALITY and all countries are looking to INDIA to be the vanguard in this change, especially when the PURNA AVATAR is here, but we as devotees have to give HIM a helping hand to gain His Grace.And I refer to sincere devotees as we have anti-Sai activists amongst us masquerading in disguise as Sai devotees who defy Swamiji's teachings to avoid non-veg food and resort to the use of ugly name calling for those who support the Avatar's teachings!!!!!!!
