Guest guest
Dear Members, As i was going through book, In chart 25 of Andrew Carnegie Shree Lagna and Su-dasa are different in Jhora 7.02 and book, similiarly in chart 26 of NT rama Rao Su-dasa is different but Shree Lagna is same. Is there is any change in setting in Jhora to get correct Su-dasa. Please advice. Regards Vijay Goel.
Guest guest
|| Hare Rama Krishna || Dear Vijay-ji, Namaskar. First of all, the SL is very sensitive to Chandrama's longitude. It seems that in case of Carnegie's chart, the Chandrama's longitude in COVA is 25deg14' and in JHora is 25deg06'1.4". This causes to change the SL significantly: in COVA SL is calculated to be at 2deg6'5" in Kanya and in JHora it is at 29deg30'57.79" in Simha. Thus the calculations will be different. The case of Sri NTR's chart is also similar though the difference is less that in Carnegie's case. The ephemeris etc may be different in COVA than in JHora. JHora came after COVA so I cannot say why this is different, except for calculation of longitudes. However, I trust that JHora has a very good calculation scheme. Now, Su-dasa stands for Sree Lagna Kendradi Rasi Dasa and its calculation is given in Narasimha-ji's book Vedic Astrology - An Integrated Approach. I will give it here briefly. (1) The Dasa Starts from SL's rasi. Fraction of the first dasa is taken according to the fraction of rasi left of SL to complete. (2) The direction of reckoning the subsequent mahadasas is forward or backward based on whether the SL's rasi is odd rasi or even rasi. (3) The first 4 maha dasas are 1st, 4th, 7th, 10th from SL's rasi (counted forward/backward as stated above) (4) The second 4 manadasas are panapharas 2, 5, 8, 11 from SL's rasi (counted forward/backward as stated above) (5) The last 4 belongs to apoklimas 3, 6, 9, 12 from SL's rasi (counted forward/backward as stated above) (6) The dasa periods are similar to Narayana Dasa system. The same scheme is followed in COVA and if you select the Options in JHora and start the Dasa from Simha rasi you will get the scheme based on SL being in Simha. There is another fact that you should be aware of. In case is Shani/Ke is in SL's rasi there is sometimes a reversal of direction. There is an option for that too, in JHora. Hope this solves the issue.
