Guest guest
Dear Member Shri. Gaurav: It is very strange that you deemed it proper to correct the version given by Guruji Dakshinamoorthiji who is so well-known in this forums for his erudition! In fact the version said by Shri. Rohit in which Guruji had given minor corrections is the one found in the Arghala Sthothram of Durga Sapta Sati. The sthothram is: :Patneem manoramaam dehi manovruttaanusaariniim thaariniim durga samsaara saagarasya kulodhbhavaam" I really wonder how you say that the "original" version is something different! With due regards to you, kindly note that Guruji never voices his opinion on anything even if he has the slightest doubts regarding that! It is this quality and the humility that he has inspite of his learning that makes him so special. However, I am sure that your post only in the right spirit...i.e., you wanted to ensure that the sthothram is said in the right form; the only problem is, you have got your facts wrong. But, even the version you have said is efficacious for the same purpose (improvement of marital prospects). The only problem is, it is not the "original" form of the verse as you claim in your post. Probably other learned members will also go through the Devi Mahatmyam books in their possession and clarify on this as Guruji himself has requested in his post. Best regards, Mohanraaam. -- In vedic astrology, "" <gg_0202 wrote: > > ||Jai Ramakrishna|| > Dear Mr.Rohit & Shree Daksinamurtiji, > The original verse is : > "Bhaaryam Manoramaam dehi manobrityanusaariniim| > Rupam Dehi Jayam Dehi Yasho Dehi Dvisho Jahi||" > or-O Blessed Mother, Please give me a wife according to > my "Manobritti" or according to my wishes & who will be able to fulfil > all my wishes. Guest guest
||Jai Ramakrishna|| Dear Mr.Mohan Raam, I never doubted Shree Dakshinamoorthiji's Knowledge. I know that he has a very knowledge than me. See, those lines are an excerpt of Argala Stotram, which is chanted before doing the Original Devi Mahatmyam Paath...This is an indispensable "anga" of Chandi Path... I dont know the sources, i just said wut i had in my book...these stotrams came to us by "Shruti" for which there different versions or forms of mantras, & for your information,"Bhaaryaam" & "Patnim" both means the same.... You also omitted one thing...there is always "Rupam Dehi Jayam Dehi Yasho Dehi Dvisho Jahi" after each mantra...please check this with your book....so that "Tarini durgasamsara" etc are the next sloka...not attached with "Bharyaam/patnim"... I do Chandi Path qt frequently & dont forget to refer to my book... Though the main idea is to appease Chandi with these Stotrams prior to Chandipath, but that particular Stotrams is advised for recitation daily in front of Devi Durga's picture, after drawing suitable diagrams for getting married to a lady as "manobrityanusaarinim"... Wish you all success, .
