Hi All,

Please let me know some good books about the

following:

1. Gemstones

2. Birth Time Rectification

3. Mani Mala (any english or hindi book)

I am looking for excellent book in gem stones that

goes beyond the lordship of houses and even covers

exceptions like in what case blue sapphire can be

recommended for lea natives, or recommending emerald

when mercury is placed in Aries.

Thanks and Regards,

Neeraj Gupta

Dear Neeraj,

Namaskar. Have you visited Visti-ji's website

www.srigaruda.com <http://www.srigaruda.com> and Narasimha-ji's

web-classes http://vedicastro.home.comcast.net/

<http://vedicastro.home.comcast.net/> ? There is plenty of information

on rectification of charts with practical examples. There are no set

rules to rectification and you have to apply general jyotisha rules to

see which lagnas in Divisional Charts are correct and making sense.

Hence rectification is an art within an art.

I have a couple of books like Nasta Jatakam by Mukunda Daivajna (tr. Sri

Santhanam) and Rectification of Birth Time by Prof. P.S Sastri but they

are of limited use.

For resources on gemstones and other remedies, I principally use Pt.

Sanjay Rath's Vedic Remedies in Astrology. There is an interesting

article about Ratnas by Swee Chan in the recent Jyotish Digest that we

can read from the website : http://thejyotishdigest.com/

The reason why Budha's stone is given for being in Mesha rasi is that

the Lagna is inMakara and Mangal exalts in the Lagna and hence grahas in

houses owned by Mangal are beneficial for this particular lagna. Please

don't cut out the fragment " Budha in Aries" and use it in exclusion.

Hope this helps.

Best wishes,

Sourav

Hi Sourav,

Thanks for providing me the pointers. I have VRA and

it is really a very good book. I was looking for some

advanced book on gemstones. I am preparing the list of

books on gemstones and will share with the group once

it is complete.

Regards,

Neeraj

Thank you for maintaining the decorum of the Achyuta Ashram.

Reminders: (1) Recite the Shadakshari Mantra 'Hare Rama Krishna'

(2) Try to become Vegetarian - remember Akbar the Great who said that the human stomach should not become a graveyard for animals.

(3) Practise charity in thought and deed - do one free chart reading today
