Guest guest
Dear Arjun ji, I can understand your anguish at what was posted about Jupiter or against Jupiter and what it can be misinterpreted as. However, it would not be describing reality if one says that rahu and ketu do not exist or do not produce their effect. Indeed they produce very obvious effects, unmistakable ones! Known as eclipses of sun and moon! And astrology does recognize the influence of grahans. You have raised a question in my mind though! Varahamihira in his Brihatjataka did not include the lunar nodes, rahu and ketu but did include those in his Brihatsamhita! Is one to believe then that Varahamihira ji intended the lunar nodes to be considered in mundane astrology but not natal astrology? Rhetorical question -- not a challenge to anyone. The interested thing to remember is not whether they are planets or blackholes or physical representations thereof but the fact that the eclipses are so geographically limited and can PREDICTABLY be observed only from a narrow portion of the earth. It is interesting, is it not? And yet does anyone know of any documented influence of eclipses in places where they were 'seen' as being stronger (or not) than in places where they were not visible? Another rhetorical question! There are so many questions, so few answers! PLEASE jyotishis, let us stop fighting and not push each other off the island of jyotish into the ocean of uncertainty where the churning is still going on and no one knows which side will ultimately win (God's or demon's and more scarily WHOSE GOD?). Guest guest
dear rohini ji rahu represents darkness and deceit or mildly put "maya". jupiter represents truth or simply put light (light of knowledge). this is my understanding. yes without darkness and maya, one would not realise the truth. without death and diseases how one would know the charm of life. in that sense yes, rahu's role is important in kaliyuga for any human on the path of realisation to put rahu behind. with best wishes pandit arjun vedic astrology, "crystal pages" <rrgb wrote: > > Dear Arjun ji, > > I can understand your anguish at what was posted about Jupiter or > against Jupiter and what it can be misinterpreted as.
