Guest guest
Hi-Sai Ram! Would anybody be able to tell me the signifigance and power of the Hare Rama Hare Krishna mantra/prayer. I enjoy it very much and feel power, confidence, hope, and love when I recite it- though I'm not very familiar with its precise power and signifigance/bacground. Thank you! Guest guest
AUM SAI RAM Dear Brother, Hari is the name of the Lord; Hari is Vishnu; Hari is Rama ;Hari is Krishna. Rama was the son of Dasharatha, the King of Aayodhya; he slayed the demon king, Ravana to reclaim His wife,Sita. He was the incarnation of Lord Vishnu. His victory was the victory of good over evil. Remember, we celebrate His victory on the holy day of Divali. Vishnu is the Second God in the Hindu Trinity ( Bhramah, Vishnu, Maheswara); He is the Preserver who incarnates Himself in yuga after yuga for the establishment of dharma (righteousness, law and order) and also for the welfare and protection of all living creatures. Krishna ,the Dark One or He who draws us to Himself, was an incarnation of Vishnu too but in another yuga.Vishnu, the Cosmic force of goodness, came to earth to establish dharma. He was a friend of Arjuna, the Pandava Prince, to whom He revealed the teachings of the Bhagavat Geetha. Krishna is the Lord within, He personifies Spiritual Love; He lives in the heart of all beings. I beleive that one chants 'Hare Rama Hare Krishna', is doing his Namasmaran, that is , he is uttering the name of the Lord constantly. Namasmaran is an important exercise in every Spiritual sadhana. No wonder he is likely to realise Ananda, Bliss.
