I think what Swami means is that we should not throw/ waste food period.

cause there could be a time

 

When even a single slice of bread could save us ,and only @ that time

will we beg,pray cry, basically be willing to do

 

Anything just for a slice of bread and then only will we REALLY realize

what Swami means by not wasting food.

 

We must eat to live and not live to eat.Cook less,prepare less and if

there is a CHANCE of there being extra left

 

Over give it away to the unfortunate before u realize that you cant

finish it and bin it.That surely wont make us starve or even make us

poor,

 

And if an hour later you feel hungry AGAIN ,full yourself with the

thought that you did seva and make yourself a sandwich.

 

It is a CRIME to waste food when we see daily all the people that are

STARVING in our world.
