I'm trying to correctly match Deities with Sacred Objects, I have some

already. Please let me know about the others... Do I have any wrong?

Dear Richardji,

That's almost a final list but there are a few things.

In the Shankhas I suggested one item is Cauri Shankha, also spelt

Kauri Shankha and Kaudi Shankha. I don't see it on the list. I have

not heard about the Gauri Shankha. If it is there I would like to know

about it and get one. May be it is a typo error. In the olden days

Cauris were used as money and were associated with Goddess Lakshmi. Do

let me know.

In the sacred roots, I would suggest you to put the name "Ashwagandha"

and not Ginseng. From what several Ayurvedics told me Ginseng is not

exactly Ashwagandha but its genetic cousin. Ashwagandha is classified

as "Withania somnifera" and Ginseng is classified as "Panax

quinquefolium/Panax quinquefolius". Of course as Ginseng is also

associated with Chinese and Korean mythology you can add it separetly

with a note.

Dear Richardji,

There is also another Shankha known as Heera Shankh and also called

Pahadi Shankha. It used in worship of Goddess Lakshmi, especially by

the tantriks. It opens like the Dakshinavarti. It is found in the

mountains and has sparkling crystal like substance in the opening and

sometimes on the shell also.
