Om Namah Sivaya

“Everyone is going toward God. They will all realize Him if they have sincerity and longing of heart.”

-----Sri Ramakrishna

Tirumantiram by Rishi Tirumular

Verse 1531 : Formal Faiths know not God Within

He hides in your heart

Yet does He pervade all;

He is the Munificent One;

The Lord Supreme;

Of austere penance

He is seated on the lotus of our hearts;

The cunning Master-Thief

In stealth enters this hollow abode of human flesh

And then leave it;

None knows His deep design .

Verse 1539 : To Attain the Supreme Goal

Those who are assailed by doubts

And those who are freed from doubts

When together commingle,

Drive the wild beasts of Karma twain to caves,

And persevere in the pursuit

Then shall the Supreme Goal be reached

They that are rid of the terrors of the wild

Shall see the Path that to Para leads.

Verse 1541 : The End of Seeking

To be born and to live again and again here below,

Verily is the curse of all;

It is the seed of Karma twain;

If you but listen to Him that knows

The origin of swirl that is birth and death,

No more shall you seek

The ways of the perishing men.

Dear Selvakumar -

Namaste. It has been a long time.

> >  The origin of swirl that is birth and death,

Janma and Mrityu are a swirling phenomena. Pl. allow me to

write/swirl a few.

Imagine a jatak who is totally untrained and unprepared to die  and

say were to die in a state of great anxiety and bewilderment.

Desperately holding on to the solide state of "I" he panics, for the

basis of this "Aham" identity, the shareera itself begins to

disintegrate. In other words the prithvi tatva begins to

disintegrate and the jala tatva begins to grow stronger. The manah

now is filled with a silver blue mirage. One now feels trapped and

suffocated. Then what happens? The jala tatva now sinks into the

agni counterpart and a "swirl" of smoke appears in the rashi of

makara where kali mata enjoys the consumption. As the agni tatva

dissolutes, the shareera becomes to grow cooler and a deepawali

emerges like the crackling sparks over burning agni on a starry

ratri. Finally the vayu tatva dissolves as the breathing begins to

grow more shallow and one feels like a leaf floating in the wind - a

vision of a dying flame in a dark room. As it normally happens with

a dying flame there is a sudden burst, a last effort as the flame

grows brighter and explodes into a final burst of energy and dies

out. To the outer one appears to be dead. This is the Arudha. In

fact the Arudha is the Shareera who's karaka is the Moon. is it not?

But one has still not attained mrityu. The 4 gross tatvas and the

conceptual manahs associated with them are no more but there are

sitll subtler levels of consciousness to be absorbed. In other words

the subtle white drop recieved by pitama at conception is located at

the top of the sahasrara (the fontanel) and the red drop received

from Mother is located at the navel come towards each other to

eventually meet at the hridaya (the 4th bhava in jyotish shastra).

As the white drop descends one perceives akaasha and as the red drop

rises pervaded by redness. The two drops meet enclosing the

fundamental consciousness and the experience is pitch black

darkness. This darkness goes to complete pitch dark as one falls

into total consciousness (the merger of the two drops).

But still this is not the antya. Within this spherical enclosure

where the two drops meet resides the very subtle consciousness. Even

for an unattianed person after about 3 days the sphere opens and the

manah is illuminated. This infinite clarity of light is the last and

most subtle of all states of consciousness experienced in ones

lifetime  - "the jyoti in jyotisha". For the ordinary thse

absoprtions are uncontrolled. For those who are trained tapaswis and

have experienced nirvikalpa maintain clear awareness during this

dissolution and awakening. There is a vast difference between the

two (the state of awareness being the difference). Because of this

awareness the fear factor is no more. For such a tapaswi as he

floats above satya loka on the bindu of chandra this arising of

clear light with shunyata is an experience of inexpressable bliss.

For such a person death is actually a new life - adwaita.

This experience cannot be described in words. Can shabda talk about

nishabda?

More Later.

With Best Wishes,

SVC
