Dear Friends,

The Vedic Cultural Center proudly presents "Journey to the Foothills of Himalayas", an extraordinary Manipuri dance fundraising festival on Sunday, 28th May, 2006 at 4.00pm at Pacific Cascade Freshman Campus, 24635 SE Issaquah Fall City Rd, Issaquah, WA 98029 by the renowned Ranganiketan dance troupe.

Ranganiketan is a 30 member dance troupe direct from Manipur, India.

Manipuri is the classical dance from the North East Indian state of Manipur. It is one of the six classical dance styles of India and claimed to be one of the most chestiest, modest, softest and mildest but the most meaningful out of all other dance styles. Titled "Journey to the FootHills of Himalayas", this performance is certain to dazzle both young and old audiences. The show features an exquisite performance of the beautiful and deeply devotional classical dance of Manipur, "Vasant Rasa Lila".

The Ranganiketan Manipuri Cultural Troupe is a charming ensemble of young Manipuri men and women presenting their ancient arts with enthusiasm and vigor. Please visit www.ranganiketan.com for more info and to watch a 5-minute flash presentation slide show about the troupe.

Suggested contribution for the show are $50, $30, & $20. For more information and tickets, visit http://vedicculturalcenter.org/Ranganiketan Tickets can be purchased at the venue too on the basis of first come first serve provided they are not sold out before hand. Delicious snacks and drinks will be sold at the venue during intermission.

Proceeds of this show will go to the new temple construction fund. The Vedic Cultural Center at 1420 228th Ave SE, Sammamish, WA 98075. To know more about the construction, please visit http://vedicculturalcenter.org/ourplano.htm. Kindly support us in this effort and endeavor to build a home for Sri Sri Radha NeelaMadhava and promote Vedic Culture and Arts.

Warm Regards,
