Guest guest Report post Posted May 23, 2006 Recently I watched a documentary on tv, which referenced Hindu knowledge of the Cosmos. They stated according to the ancient Hindu sages that our sun is part of a binary-star system. They said that the ancient Indians taught that there is another sun (star) that is associated with the orbit of our sun; and then they said that this knowledge is now lost to mainstream astronomers but may be rediscovered in the future. In the documentary, they interviewed some astronomers who do believe in this binary star theory and postulated why we do not now see this 2nd star.
