Guest guest
Dear Darla Ayurveda considered nail fungus centuries back. please check up ayurveda message 5204. "Panchtikta Ghrutam fits this requirements quite well, with five major bitter herbs constituting the receipe. A dose of 1-2 tsp ( 1 for children and 2 tsp for adults) of this Ghrutam after dissolving it in warm milk, daily morning empty stomach, will not only take care of diseases of nails but also makes them beautiful. Apart from this ingestion, filing the rough nail with a iron file or nail cutter handle or a shaving blade, and then applying the paste made from cow ghee and Tankankhar mixed well helps growth of cells. Apply this paste twice a day. Acharya Bhavprakash notes in a shloka that if this treatment does not normalize the nail, even a mountain can float in water." Tankankhar in above paragraph is nothing but Borax powder. Acharya Bhavaprakash has given this centuries ago. Borax powder here takes care of fungus, and ghee acts as a medium to hold powder and also help build new cells of nail. If you find out what Vicks salve contains, you will be surprised. Dr Bhate ayurveda, "Darla Wells" <lethe9 wrote: > > This is not ayurvedic but it works. File it down some and put Vicks salve on it every night. It makes it thinner and eventually the fungus goes away. I saw it in a newspaper article and tried it myself. It is really amazing. > Darla > > > I have toenail fungus and I'm trying to treat it with tea tree oil. Is there anything else that I could try? Guest guest
Your mail requires further discussion, since you mentioned psoriasis and neem effect. Panchtikta Ghrut and Panchtikta Ghrut Guggulu are two good remedies for Psoriasis patients. Neem is one of their principal ingredient. Being in micro form (no taste of neem) inghrutam, has better cell bioavailability and offers faster effect. 90% of Psoriasis patients have nail fungus. Blackened toenail is a 90% probability indicator that there exists Psoriasis too. Often, this author uses this observation to surprise the patients by observing just nails. Neem oil does give good results for eczema. But for psoriasis, it is not enought to make itch reduce, but also to regenerate cells to make skin smooth and red patches reduce in size by generation of new cells. Hence Panchtiktra Ghrutam is made in Cow Ghee. In Ayurveda, whenever cell generation, cell communication is needed Cow Ghee (Ghrutam) is the medium of choice. It contains 5 bitter herbs, which cause blood purification and regeneration of cells. More general medicine is Mahatikta Ghritam, useful for many itchy conditions. For planters wart, try following for one month and report the ressults; remote nature of these remedies requires that you should try them only for a short period and if working proceed further. IN ayurveda, sometimes Vaidyas patient is also God tests. Kaishor Guggulu, Kanchnar Guggulu, Trifla Guggulu..Take 3 tabs of each guggulu (tab size 125 mg), three times a day (after breakfast, lunch, dinner) slight chew and swallow with water. (Total 27 tabs for the day, if each tab 125 mg). Apply Jatyadi Ghrutam or Tailam in the region of warts. If Tea Tree oil is giving you benifit, that itself will do. Put foot in Carrybag or polythelen bag while taking bath, no water should touch the sole area where oil massage was done). Drink plenty copper or warm water and eat fruits twice a day. This assumes that you are not taking anyother medicine for psoriasis, other than Panchtikta Ghrut Guggulu.
