Please can you tell us more about the significance of the temperature of fluids we drink. I observe that there are many people who will only drink icy cold water - otherwise they will not drink it at all.

And you have recently mentioned that icy cold is not desirable for patients with sciatica ...

Other patients like piping hot drinks - cannot tolerate anything beyond very hot. Others only take tepid drinks.

Last year I attended a lecture here by Dr Bublik - he used to lecture on Glyco-Nutrients - now his interest is in water use in the body - for maximum absorption (and proved by him according to his lecture) - he stated that very cold water was absorbed most quickly. He also stipulated that fructose should be added to enhance this. Although this may be along the guidelines of Iron Rules No 14, it certainly is not in agreement with your own recommendations Dr Bhate. Anyway at that time I tried what he suggested and had such a violent gut response that the fructose bought especially for the occasion has not been touched since.

There are a few questions here - but then this takes me back to hearing about Indian cooking - that there are different benefits from cutting onions different way - different benefits from taking foods at different times, so if you could tell us more about different fluid temperatures for different body purposes I would be most grateful.

Thanks,

Jane
