maybe someone can answer a question for me.  at satsang last night there

was a discussion about whether or not if one is taking the iam meditation

class one still gets a good amount of time with mother.  i am signed up to

take this class but i don't want to do it really at the expense of not

having time with her.

Re: Mary Ellen and Retreat

And Mary Ellen, GO! GO! GO!!!! to a retreat whenever it will work out.

I try to go to one every year. Amma gives you a whole plate of prasad-

which is your dinner (WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!) And there is this

really awesome question and answer session. One devotee last year

asked an incredibly deep spiritual question-3 of them that blew us all

away. Anyone have the text on that? I'd love to share it with our

Satsang. But you get so much time with Amma. You used to get 2

darshans a day at retreat-but I guess with the growing numbers and to

save Amma's body-it's now only one..ha! ONLY one! We are so fortunate

for that ONE! I cannot wait to see Her! I am having such a rough

family day today!!!

NAmah Shivaya,

I've taken taly the IAM refresher at a retreat but would highly encourage you to take the class.  One reason, is that I feel it can help you to stay very connected to Amma, even when she isn't physically persent.

It is rare that once cannot learn from another or from life's experiences,

if the effort is made. Perhaps that is the secret of achieving a peaceful

society: searching for each other's unique and special knowledge.
