Guest guest
Dear All, One thing I notice in Kali Yuga Planetary Gemology is that the REAL POINTS are over looked, and instead, all this useless stuff is spouted. Example, a pandit looks at a birth chart and choose the gem for the natives worst (pratikul) planet (BIG mistake!!!), viz., Surya, and even though the native is poor, still the pandit will say the gem must be 7 carats, and worn in certain way, and etc., etc., etc. The only 7 carat ruby a poor man can get is just junk, inauspicious trash. So the poor native is wearing a horrible junk ruby for a terrible planet (in their chart). The two main points, GOOD CHOICE & QUALITY GEM, are ignored, but all this astrological stuff is spouted off and the native believes he is on the right path <---WRONG!!! Now if the gem is for a natives "good planet" and is "jyotish quality", then time and place are significant, OTHERWISE NOT! Shastra insists on Jyotish (fine) quality gems, and warns against flawed gems, so the matter of gem weight is determined NOT by Shastra, and NOT by pandit, BUT DEPENDS ON YOUR BUDGET (SPENDING POWER). I hope this helps... Best rgds, Richard Richard Shaw-Brown, PG Designer & Gemologist " on the web. Terms of Service.
