Guest guest
Dear Chiranjeevi I called you as Chiranjeevi - it is an elderly blessing. As a first ever South Indian Aswamedhayaaji in the history, I have been blessed with the boon of blessings children irrespective of age. Back to the point - The panchayatana Pooja worship is from Vedic Order of life. Lord Shiva is worshipped in the form of Shiv Linga. The Panchayatana Lords are Lord Ganesh, Goddess Amba, Lord Sun, Lord Narayana, and Lord Shiva. The interested idol is occupying the centre place for example if I desire to set up Sakti Panchayatana - I shall keep Goddess Amba in the form of Sri Yantra or similar forms in the centre and keep Lord Ganesh in North East, Lord Sun in South East, Lord Narayana in South West and Lord Shiva in North West. Every one of the idol has their own represents like the stone available in Sona river is Lord Ganesh, the crystal formation is of Lord Sun, the Saligram -Silicon Dioxide - is Lord Narayana and stone available in Narmada River is that of Lord Shiva. People with knowledge and skill can identify the proper idol for worship. Now you might have noticed that the one available in Narmada River is a representative of Lord Shiva which is also called as Narmada Baan or Baan Ling. This is what the ancient order of worship described. Over a period of time people started worshipping their own interested shapes and forms. It is suggested to use the idols only as per the ancient order of life and they have something really to do with our day to day life. Any further clarifications? Guest guest
Sree suchitra Jee Lord Shiva is one of the three facets of the Creator of the Cosmos. As in Hinduism there exists three functional attributes of God Almighty. These are the creative, destructive and the preservative modes of conduct by which God Almighty operates. The creative power of God Almighty (the Creator of the Cosmos) is vested with Brahma. As Brahma is considered the Creator of the total Cosmos... and the whole creation considered as existing from times immemorial... there is not much religious sentiments attached to this creative power of the Almighty God. In the whole of India there is only one temple which is dedicated to Brahma.. Rest all the temples are either dedicated to Lord Shiva, or lord Vishnu. Lord Vishnu is considered as the maintainer of the system created by Brahma (the manifest creative attribute of God Almighty). Great importance has been assigned to lord Vishnu for the whole system is considered his responsibility. All the ten Avatars are of lord Vishnu... the last of whom is being considered as Bhagwan Kalki... one who shall deliver the mankind from the ills of the present! By this we mean that Lord Vishnu himself manifests on mother earth as an avatar from time to time. Now the time is considered ripe for lord Vishnu to take avatar as Bhagwan Kalki. And why is it necessary for the Lord himself to manifest as an avatar. It so happens that with passage of time the values in the society stoop so low that it becomes difficult for the mankind to survive in general. The distrust amongst the individuals has so badly affected the society that it is only but an avatar who can set things right. After Lord Krishna it is now the time for the 10th avatar of the era... Bhagwan Kalki! We are presently passing through the metal age aka the Kali Yuga. The present Kali Yuga is the phrase in the life cycle of humanity when the values in the society are in their lowest ebb. One who shall lift the community out of the menace of this Kali Yuga shall be Bhagwan Kalki... the 10th incarnation of lord Vishnu. Lord Shiva is considered the most potent and powerful attribute of the Almighty God. The dance of Lord Shiva at the time of Pralaya (the dissolution of the Cosmos) announces the demise of the whole of Cosmos. This is happening which cannot be imagined with the limited power of the senses attributed to human beings. Lord Shiva maintains the equilibrium of the Cosmos. If there is creativity there has to be death also. If something is born then demise also has to occur to maintain the balance in the system. The power over death rests with Lord Shiva. And who does not fear death... most human beings pray to Lord Shiva so that they may not meet untimely death. Praying to Lord Shiva simply means praying for long life... Lord Brahma or lord Vishnu are not the least related to the life span of a living Jiva nay every human being for that matter. It is the prerogative of lord Shiva alone to maintain the balance sheet of life of every individual existing in the whole of Cosmos. Guest guest
Dear suchitra ji, Shiva lingas are like fire, Lord Shiva keeps doing penance - jwaalaagni - the fire of penance blazing all over him & from him - so, we always keep him cool - he is also called Abhisheka Priya - bathing divine elements is called Abhisheka in sanskrit. The more you bathe him, the more happy he is. Lingam Pooja is done daily with abhishekas (Divine Bathing) with fresh milk, Fresh Curd, aromatic herbal powders & water chanting the following mantra : THATH PURUSHAAYA VITHMAHAE MAHADEVAYA DHEEMAHI THANNO RUDRA PRACHODHAYAATH Light incence and offer dhoop. After bathing the linga, wipe them gently with a designated cloth - apply some sandal powder moistened with little water to bring it to a paste form & vermillon. Rudram chanting pleases Lord Shiva which is either recited or played during the abhisheka (Divine Bathing). The above process is the Puja and if done with a pure heart & consciousness & true aspiration, the Lord will certainly accept it. Placing Shivaling East and the north are the two acceptable orientations for the base of Shiva ling in any temple as stipulated in Agama Shastra. So the base Shiva ling is noticed either facing East or North direction in any temple. While the devotee, who is worshipping Shiva Ling is facing the East the base of Shiva Ling shall be oriented towards north dirction. When the disciple is facing north while worshipping, the base of Shiv Ling shall be oriented towards East. Base here shall mean the point from where the Abhishek liquid (Water or Panchamrit) flows out of Shiva Ling Ref : Rudra Center. Guest guest
Dear Chiranjeevi I have seen Chi Akshay letter in response to that of Chi Suchitra. People developed a fear for Tantra Upasana. The actual meaning of Tantra Upasana is such when a chanted mantra is put to Kriya Roop it is called Tantra. In Tantra there are two forms like Sadachara Tantra and the other is Vamachara Tantra. The Sadachara Tantra is the one which is now seen in many temples like performing Rudra Abhishek etc with different items - for example as per Rudra Kamyaarchana Vidhi etc. The Vamachara Tantra Sadhana is a difficult sadhana with which we are not familiar. Secondly Bhairav sadhana is not that difficult nor that troublesome as per my experience for the past forty years of sadhana. I could collect the easiest way in the form of Bhairav and Veerabhadra Gayathri Mantra and this is possible from me any time as per your request if interested. Please remeber I did not fear to enter into Mahaa Kaali temples underground in Himalayaas though people living in those areas started telling me about awful stories. I believed in her as HOLY MOTHER and there is no restriction as such no fear as such to look into the MOTHER or reach the Mother - in what ever form she is. She is afterall MOTHER - as much as we do not fear to reach our mother who has given us birth - in this case we are touching the lotus feet of Universal Mother. All that depends on our concept - the form in which we look into. Similarly Kaal Bhairav Saadhana is also such when we consider him as our beloved father or brother. This is my way of thinking, may be it is not palatable for some. Having seen many temples - with proper approach and otherwise too, I love to see the Lotus feet of Lord in whatever form he is. Surely Ujjain Kaal Bhairav is one unique temple where you can really feel the presence. Perhaps that is the reason it has become the liking place for King Vikramarka, King Bhojaraj, Bhartruhari, Mahakavi Kaalidas. I enjoyed writing a book on my experiences there sitting in front of the Samadhi of Sage Sandipani - the master of Lord Krishna - I believe I have mentioned that if a person is born in Ujjain and lives there for 70 years - even then the secrets of Ujjain can not be unfolded. It is UJJAIN - the empire of Mahaa Kaal. Guest guest
Dear Chi Vijay I have seen your letter. It is a fact that LORD GRANTED ME AN OPPORTUNITY OF PERFORMING SHRI ASWAMEDHAYAAGAM. This was held a year long and the main Yaagam took place from 11th December to 18th December 2005 in Keshav Memorial School, Narayanguda, Hyderabad and finally the year long yaagam was completed again in the same premises on 12th February 2006. Many himalayan sages and swamijis attended the yaagam and it is really surprising to see a RELIGIOUS MINDED not aware of this UNUSUAL MEGA EVENT. The press and the media was after us. Shri Syed Akbar of Deccan Chronicle mentioned - A LOST VEDIC RITUAL HAS BEEN BROUGHT ALIVE BY DR P V SESHA SAI - and the same columnist said A SECULAR ASWAMEDHA UNFOLDED, when India Today in its centre pages mentioned "Veda Kaalanni Marapinchina Aswamedha Yaagam etc" It is not correct that only KINGS performed Shri Aswamedhayaagam. Kings were performing the same due to the cost involved and the strain beyond a single human capacity. But all that is a fortune for me and for my associates - Lord got this work done by us. At present - as per the scripts available - I am treated as the ONLY ONE ASWAMEDHAYAAJI of South India and particularly of ANDHRA PRADESH. Well, when I do not imagine high of myself, I surely feel happy that WE - PEOPLE OF ANDHRA PRADESH/SOUTH INDIA could surely do this. Again, I am making it sure that I have no interest of making a differentiation of North/South in India - the region based and the language based structure is the only concern. It is to be remembered that many of my associates are from Northern part of India and from Himalayas - a place of my choice and stay. All your other queries are suitably answered in the website in FAQs of www.ashwamedhayaagam.org and I request for your kind reference of the same. Wishing you divine path dear. You are all aware that 14th of May is observed as MOTHERS DAY. I am basically a follower of Sri Vidya in other words – Upasana of Holy Mothers Sri Yantra. Before arriving into USA I had my own doubts as to how to perform Sri Chakra Archana worshipping SUVASINIS. In India though it is not common, we have fair opportunities of good number of ladies visiting temples and etc places where we enjoy performing archana to Suvasinis. This year 14th May had fallen on a Sunday and just four days prior to that, I was informed about a get together and a common Havan program in the local Gayathri Mandir and I was also invited incidentally for the occasion with a request to perform Sri Chakra Pooja. What else do I need more than that? , I accepted and expressed my opinion to perform Suvasini Pooja to the ladies and Shri Kuldeep Bajaj – a friend of mine whom I knew since long time, readily accepted for the proposal and himself along with his wife Sowbhagyavathi Suneetha with the assistance of their children Chi Gaurika and Chi Gaurav reached the temple to assist me in Sri Chakra Pooja. There was a large gathering probably that much would not have been possible in India. The temple was filled up with devotees and we performed Suvasini Pooja – believe it – to 63 ladies as per my intention. I desired to perform for 36 or 45 or 54 etc in the similar fashion to make the total as the HOLY 9 of Goddess. We could perform pooja to 63 ladies – the HOLY PHYSICAL FORM OF MOTHERS AVAILABLE TO US IN THE PRESENCE OF UNIVERSAL MOTHER. The following rare incidents are observed – 1) my presence in California on 14th May, 2) my association with Shri Bajaj, 3) 14th May happened to be MOTHERS DAY, 4)that day incidentally is a week end – Sunday where many have opportunity to have a get together, 5) Arranging Havan program in tune with Sri Chakra Archana- their interest to get the archana performed in the temple, 6) inviting so many Suvasinis, 7) the invitees – most of them – attending the function etc……………………………………. This is the best example which I show – you put a step forward to reach HER and she takes all pains to reach you what ever is the distance. It is fact and it is our experience. What do you say? Guest guest
Dear Dr Sesha Saiji, It is so good to hear from you and to learn about this year long yagya which took place. It is amazing. You are a rare person it seems. It must have been a truly once a life time experience for those who took part in it. You are right that I did not see or hear about this thing in Indian papers. I live in London and for certain reasons remain cut off from India. I need to tell you something about myself. Several years ago I developed a pain in my body and as nobody was willing to understand I took up prayers and meditation according to our Hindu Traditions. I lived for several years in ashrams doing deep and intensive work and met and saw several holy men and Swamis. Later on I had to come back to London. But this is not a much important thing as a great number of Sadhus and Holy men live in India in ashrams. Several years ago I saw a piece of hidden knowledge in a article by a Devotee. He said we should try to have a DARSHAN OF DIVINE MOTHER OR DIVINE FATHER in whatever way possible. I feel DEEPLY BLESSED in my life that it has happened to me DUE TO DIRECT GRACE OF DIVINE MOTHER. I am a very ordinary person but this GRACE has opened several doors for my Spiritual advancement. For this reason I do not take or write the name of Divine Beings in front of others. I say Divine Mother or Divine Lord etc. Again for the same reason Deities in a Temple are not stone thing for me, They are much more alive to me than a living being. Yes, I completely agree that this type of thing can only happen due to DIRECT GRACE and it is not because of human effort on my part. This is very first time I have told this about my private life where so many people would be reading it. Apart from my mother nobody knows that I have been BLESSED in this by DIVINE MOTHER&FATHER. Many himalayan sages and swamijis attended the yaagam and it is really surprising to see a RELIGIOUS MINDED not aware of this UNUSUAL MEGA EVENT. The press and the media was after us. Kings were performing the same due to the cost involved and the strain beyond a single human capacity. But all that is a fortune for me and for my associates - Lord got this work done by us.
