I don't know anyone who can say he has ever heard Her say that she is protecting us whatsoever in this regard. I think She doesn't appreciate it because it doesn't somehow affect the indigenous population. But, not to worry. Even if people will die from cancers due to radiation, or have birth defects, etc., it can always be argued that it is "just" the body and that it's really good for our soul. I had a relative die 20-25 years after radiation treatment - unquestionably from the radiation. But there are a lot of westerners who have lived at Amritapuri for a very long time now.
