Prabhupada was vigilant about the devotees' attendance at the morning

devotional program in the temple. Calling for the temple president, he asked

why some devotees were regularly absent. Mangala-arati, he said, was very

important, and everyone must attend. Punctuality was also important. The exact

time for the mangala-arati would vary according to the clock, he said, but it

must always be one-and-a-half hours before sunrise.
