Dear Ganesa Prabhu,

Please accept my humble obeisances. All glories to Srila Prabhupada.

>The statement that, "karma is adjusted" is a rather strange (and non-Srila

>Prabhupada) way of trying to explain things. Karma is never "adjusted".

Is it? What did Srila Prabhupada mean here, then:

"Because nature's process is that as you create your mentality, you get next

life a similar body. KarmaŠ€ daiva-netreŠa jantor dehopapattaye [sB

3.31.1].You, in this body you have to work because this material world means

one has to work. So by your karmaЀ, if your karma is not adjusted, if you

do not work as a human being to be promoted to the qualification of a

br€hmaŠa and then surpass the br€hmaŠa qualification and become a VaiŠava,

then your life is not perfect."

-- Lecture on Bhagavad-g…t€ 13.5, Bombay, September 28, 1973

Your servant,

Madana-mohana das
