Om Amrtesvaryai Namah!

Namaskarams!!

according to my Jyotish program (Sri Jagannatha Hora), the first tithi

of the full moon (pournimasya) begins at 1:24 AM on July 10th (our

days) in Washington D.C.

so if we are to follow the vedic system of weekdays, it would actually

be on the late evening (so to speak) of the Sunday the 9th...as Monday

July 10th would begin at sunrise.

this will be occurring in the Nakshatra of Moola, in Sagittarius.

the Last tithi of Pournimasya or the full moon, will end at

approximately 11:00 PM on Monday July 10th in Washington D.C.....so if

they are to celebrate Pournimasya on the actual day of the full moon,

it will have to be on Monday July 10th...

my experience with my Jyotish program tells me that usually our days

fall EARLIER than in India rather than later....so if Krittika falls

on say, august 12 in India, then it will fall most often on August 11

in America or Canada, NOT the next day unlike what was mentioned

earlier on this list.

hope this may have been of some use...

of course these things are not always celebrated on the exact time and

day indicated by the Jyotish program...for various reasons, mostly

unknown to me...perhaps convenience...

in Amma's Divine Love

and in Her Service,

as always,

Namaste.

I think your jyotish program is a bit off, but no matter.  You should check it for Iowa as well.

My prediction is definitely on Iowa.  Prasannan echoed the same.
