Guest guest
FIBONACCI NUMBERS AND NATURE http://www.world-mysteries.com/sci_17.htm The Fibonacci numbers are Nature's numbering system. They appear everywhere in Nature, from the leaf arrangement in plants, to the pattern of the florets of a flower, the bracts of a pinecone, or the scales of a pineapple. The Fibonacci numbers are therefore applicable to the growth of every living thing, including a single cell, a grain of wheat, a hive of bees, and even all of mankind. All involve the Fibonacci numbers - and here's how and why. The Golden section in Nature Continuing the theme of the first page but with specific reference to why the golden section appears in nature. Now with a Geometer's Sketchpad dynamic demonstration. http://www.mcs.surrey.ac.uk/Personal/R.Knott/Fibonacci/fibnat.html it is a logical deduction that the population of the world must be getting smaller and smaller as time goes on! http://www.infinitetechnologies.co.za/articles/geometry1.html Fibonacci Retracement & Price Extension levels need to be used in conjunction with a proven trading method in order to be successful in the markets. Price Retracement Levels 0.236, 0.382, 0.500, 0.618, 0.764 Price Extension Levels 0, 0.382, 0.618, 1.000, 1.382, 1.618 The first set of ratios is used as price retracement levels and is used in trading as possible support and resistance levels. The reason we have this expectation is that traders all over the world are watching these levels and placing buy and sell orders at these levels which becomes a self-fulfilling expectation. The second set is used as price extension levels and is used in trading as possible profit taking levels. Again, traders all over the world are watching these levels and placing buy and sell orders to take profits at these levels which becomes a self-fulfilling expectation. http://www.soulsofdistortion.nl/2012_3.html 2012: End of the 5th Sun I need to insert an important numerical progression at this point to provide a basis for the rest of the article. The number thirteen was a root number for the Maya. It is both a prime number and the eighth number in the crucial Fibonacci series that is one source of the Golden Ratio, 1.618. If we use 13 as the root of the Mayan calendar system we find the following sequence: 13, 26, 39, 52, 65, 78, 91 and 104, which are achieved by simply adding 13 to each succeeding sum. These are the key numbers in the Mayan calendrics and they have a solid scientific footing. Venus was the central component of the Mayan cosmology. It is for good reason that our nearest planetary neighbor is called earth’s sister planet. They have a phase-locked orbital cycle that is based on a 13:8 ratio. That is derived from the fact that Venus revolves around the sun 1.6 times faster than Earth so that 13 Venus revolutions is equal to 8 years. Why is this important? By establishing Venus as the key component of the sacred calendar they automatically built the Golden Ratio (1.6) into the system since that ratio defines the difference between the two planets orbital cycles. By using 13 as the root number they also included the crucial multiples, or powers, of thirteen - 13,000 and 26,000 - or half as well as the full number of years in the precession. We see that the 5 Suns, each lasting 5,125 years, also add up to the Great Zodiacal Year. http://www.branta.connectfree.co.uk/fibonacci.htm Fibonacci Numbers and how they are related to flowers, pine cones, pineapples, palm trees, suspension bridges, spider webs, dripping taps, CDs, your savings account, and quite a few other things Fibonacci Links and Downloads http://mathforum.org/dr.math/faq/faq.golden.ratio.html http://pisano.period..en.infoax.org/ The Golden Section in Nature http://www.futures-investor.co.uk/fibonacci_number_sequence.htm The Phi Relationship is found in many forms of nature. Man, himself, has many Fibonacci numbers and Golden Ratios in his genetic make up. For example, the human body has 5 appendages: 2 arms, 2 legs and 1 head. Each arm and leg has 3 jointed parts. Each hand has 5 digits with 3 jointed sections in each. (1, 2, 3 and 5 being Fibonacci numbers.) The top of the body, from the top of the head to the top of the hips, is approximately 38% of a man’s height. The bottom of the body, from the top of the hips to the bottom of the feet, is approximately 62% of a man’s height. (Women’s bodies too are divided into Phi proportions.) The human figure is often drawn being measured with "heads". For example, generally, a figure will be 8 heads high and 3 heads wide. Judging by the evidence of mathematics, geometry and nature, the ratio of 0.618 is apparently a major law governing the dynamic process of nature. Love cheap thrills?
