Guest guest
dear tatvam ji since i have not seen respected KNRao's prediction on this self- death predicting astrologer, i do not comment on him. but one thing is certain that this astrologer who predicted his own death with exact date and time was giving self publicity, so much so that some local newspapers mentioned his village got several curious tourists and he had several customers waiting in line for getting their charts read (all for knowing their death date?). several TV channels and newspapers unnecessarily made this self-death predicting astrologer a hero and gave him free publicity. in my humble opinion, death prediction shall not be made by any astrologer either for others or for self. if the astrologer finds a chance of fatality, he can only give an indication and cannot predict with certainty that the native will die. this is against the ethics of astrolgy. still if an astrologer predicts death and then claims "I SAID SO" it is only bad karma. once the yoga guru ramdevji criticised the astrologers and fake tantriks alike for predicting every native the following things: 1. you are suffering from the malefic affects of rahu, ketu and saturn. 2. your planets are good but your present dasa is bad. 3. people are jealous of you and due to this your growth is hindered or someone has done blackmagic on you. 4. you have various doshams in your chart for which i will do these poojas for you. also these days, it has become a fashion for every panchanga karta and every astrologer to predict general things for the country like: 1. the country would lose a great leader (there are hundreds of ex prime/chief ministers and ministers who die every year) 2. cold waves would have heavy toll in the northern states 3. heat waves prevails across the country 4. air accidents would claim lives. 5. ship wrecks or boats capsize leading to hundreds drowned. 6. earthquakes rock the country 7. new godmen come to save the country (every godman claims himself as kalki avataar) 8. country prospers in the field of technology. any blind man can guess that these predictions happen every year without saying. my humble submission to all such astrologers is that stop giving general predictions and give specific predictions to individuals who are approaching the group. such predictions are useless if they are not going to help the native. as pandit dakshinamoorthiji said once, an astrologer shall predict a chart only if he is asked to. that is the maturity which shall be displayed by all matured astrologers. till date not a single godman (having crores of devotees and thousands of crores property) could predict earthquake or tsunami. they all come to donate blankets or food packets only after the incident. not a single astrologer could predict earthquake or tsunami with place, date and time. such generalised predictions only make astrolgy a laughing stock. for example, if a person predicts earthquake could occurr in a state between 1st to 15th of a month, it is of no use even if it occurrs. all the great sages who used to predict with their divya drishti (not astrology) also used to suggest upays for averting any negatives. the underlying objective of a prediction is only to help the native lead a happy life and not to claim "I SAID SO". with best wishes pandit arjun vedic astrology, Tatvam-Asi <nameisego wrote: > > Dear Mr. Sreeram, > > what do you mean by cryptic clues? > > I am still wondering about Sri K.N Rao siding with a village astrologer who had predicted his own death last year (I think) and Mr. K.N Rao had also agreed with that astrologer after seeing his chart that he will die. > The whole of India was taken for a ride and a TV Channel wasted a whole day cov ering this non event. > THE ASTROLOGER DID NOT DIE AND WHEN I RAISED THIS TOPIC IN VEDIC ASTROLOGY GROUP, NO ONE DARED TO AGREE WITH ME. > > Does Mr. Rao has answer for this? > > Tatvam-Asi > > sreeram srinivas <sreeram64 wrote: > It is a fact that on 30th April 2006 during Bharatiya vidya Bhawan seminar > Sri K.N. Guest guest
Dear Arjun Ji, Are you, by any chance ,refering to my earthquake predictions? A bit curious. K.N Rao ji, was sitting in the TV Channel's studio discussing the astrologer's chart. And he catagorically said that this person has Mrityu Yog and may die at predicted time. Now who was seeking free publicity and who did not ? I have no answer to this question. Tatvam-Asi By the way, Yoga Teacher Ramadasji himself is one such publicity seeker IMHO. panditarjun2004 <panditarjun2004 wrote: dear tatvam ji since i have not seen respected KNRao's prediction on this self- death predicting astrologer, i do not comment on him. but one thing is certain that this astrologer who predicted his own death with exact date and time was giving self publicity, so much so that some local newspapers mentioned his village got several curious tourists and he had several customers waiting in line for getting their charts read (all for knowing their death date?). several TV channels and newspapers unnecessarily made this self-death predicting astrologer a hero and gave him free publicity. in my humble opinion, death prediction shall not be made by any astrologer either for others or for self. if the astrologer finds a chance of fatality, he can only give an indication and cannot predict with certainty that the native will die. this is against the ethics of astrolgy. still if an astrologer predicts death and then claims "I SAID SO" it is only bad karma. once the yoga guru ramdevji criticised the astrologers and fake tantriks alike for predicting every native the following things: 1. you are suffering from the malefic affects of rahu, ketu and saturn. 2. your planets are good but your present dasa is bad. 3. people are jealous of you and due to this your growth is hindered or someone has done blackmagic on you. 4. you have various doshams in your chart for which i will do these poojas for you. also these days, it has become a fashion for every panchanga karta and every astrologer to predict general things for the country like: 1. the country would lose a great leader (there are hundreds of ex prime/chief ministers and ministers who die every year) 2. cold waves would have heavy toll in the northern states 3. heat waves prevails across the country 4. air accidents would claim lives. 5. ship wrecks or boats capsize leading to hundreds drowned. 6. earthquakes rock the country 7. new godmen come to save the country (every godman claims himself as kalki avataar) 8. country prospers in the field of technology. any blind man can guess that these predictions happen every year without saying. my humble submission to all such astrologers is that stop giving general predictions and give specific predictions to individuals who are approaching the group. such predictions are useless if they are not going to help the native. as pandit dakshinamoorthiji said once, an astrologer shall predict a chart only if he is asked to. that is the maturity which shall be displayed by all matured astrologers. till date not a single godman (having crores of devotees and thousands of crores property) could predict earthquake or tsunami. they all come to donate blankets or food packets only after the incident. not a single astrologer could predict earthquake or tsunami with place, date and time. such generalised predictions only make astrolgy a laughing stock. for example, if a person predicts earthquake could occurr in a state between 1st to 15th of a month, it is of no use even if it occurrs. all the great sages who used to predict with their divya drishti (not astrology) also used to suggest upays for averting any negatives. the underlying objective of a prediction is only to help the native lead a happy life and not to claim "I SAID SO". with best wishes pandit arjun vedic astrology, Tatvam-Asi <nameisego wrote: > > Dear Mr. Guest guest
dear tatvam ji no, i was not referring to you. you have been doing free service to thousands of suffering querents for the past several years in various groups and are also researching your rahu centric theory as well as sharing your knowledge in various groups. i made a general observation that panchangakartas and every astrologer mostly who come on TV are only to claim I SAID SO and blow their own trumpet. Media can make or break a profession by planting their own views on a particular subject. all channels these days are bringing astrologers during eclipses, transit of planets and yearly predictions on 1st january as well as local new year dates. some channels are discussing even sun's moving from one sign to another every month. one sports channel used to bring an astrologer as well as a tarot card reader for predicting cricket match results. several astrologers have even started giving TIPS on stock markets and have their own websites where they give two resistance levels and two support levels along with two target prices but also a strict stop loss. they boast in bold letters what all shares have moved in line with their prediction but censor many predictions which go wrong. one astrologer in this groups has the habit of publishing in this group selective mails received in his personal mail (not related to this group at all) praising his predictions. it is against sabha maryada and basic etiquettes but in the garb of freedom he resorts to such cheap tactics. alas, astrology is used even to help gamblers or speculators and help them by correlating planets, commodities and stock markets. if this is true, big financial institutions and brokersages as well as hedge funds (who need advices for investing TRILLIONS of dollars every year) stop hiring financial analysts and hire astrologers instead. all the above might have helped commercialisation of astrology as well as showcasing astrology as an accepted predictive tool. however, in my humble opinion astrology (based on horoscope) is akin to pathology where the astrologer can only identify the cause of the sufferings. only if the astrologer has the healing power of reiki or divine energy, he would be able to suggest remedies. otherwise it is like recommending gems, rudraksha, yantras, special pooja akin to a doctor prescribing several medicines. it is written in sanskrit samhitas of the great sages that NO ONE CAN PREDICT DEATH. if any astrologer (no nametaking) predicted death of a person or confirmed or ratified the death of a person, it is against ethics and earning bad karma. you are true in observing that yoga guru ramdevji was seeking publicity. his publicity stunt is with a view to help as many people as he can. in all programs invariably he REQUESTS the people to thank the great sages who gave these yoga techniques free of cost and by doing these simple (zero expense) yoga exercises, many diseases can be cured. there are millions of patients suffering from diabetes, sinus, blood pressure etc. and got completely cured only by following these yoga exercises and it is them who volunteered to donate hundreds of crores to ramdevji to help more and more people. if you are viewing the same program freely in your drawing room on a tv (without paying for attending the sibir) and are getting benefited, is it not due to this free publicity. with best wishes pandit arjun vedic astrology, Tatvam-Asi <nameisego wrote: > > Dear Arjun Ji, > Are you, by any chance ,refering to my earthquake predictions? > A bit curious. > > K.N Rao ji, was sitting in the TV Channel's studio discussing the astrologer's chart. > And he catagorically said that this person has Mrityu Yog and may die at predicted time. > > Now who was seeking free publicity and who did not ? Guest guest
..HARE RAM. Sh.Tatvam Asi jee, I am sorry but it is baseless and fake that Sh.Rao jee had approved the predictions of the said astrologer. What did he say that day? It is quite safe in my memory. You may check the clips of said day.Plz try to remember his words. He said"It seems that this person has Mrityu Yog these days" but he never said about time and date surely and he opposed strongly for such type of predictions. Not only one (learned person) must give their predictions regarding earthquake or other natural calamities but also all the astrologers should make a forum separately for the same purpose and give predictions sitted on one bench for the country. Please do not take it otherwise. One should always do true criticism with out jealously.I think you will be agree with me.Please do forgive me if you find some mistake. With Regards Shashi Shekhar Sharma Tatvam-Asi <nameisego wrote: Dear Arjun Ji, Are you, by any chance ,refering to my earthquake predictions? A bit curious. Guest guest
Sri K.N.Rao is a person from whom I learnt the holy subject and respect him. Having interacted with him for long, I am sure that the telecast that you referred in your mail - which I did not see ( but cannot comment much ), one thing is sure, that the words spoken by Sri K.N. Rao would not be in terms of any "fatalist" tone. He is the person who has excellent command either hindi or english and knows the use of language- he picks his words carefully. This is my own assessement as an individual. He never sought publicity himself - other than promoting astrology. For the "clout" he has with either politicians or businessmen or even normal public, had he any intentions of such "going public", he would not living in a small single room, living on his own monies & ethics,...etc.. While I say this, let me submit, being in a industry - where "organizations" base their decisions of our(my) reports either verbal or written, we are not carried away in supporting someone blindly without a valid reason. It is the media responsible for painting astrology black, while they earn monies, by publishing weekly forecasts for public consumption !!! every weekend. Sri K.N. Rao despite his health constraints, did take time to fight cases in Indian Courts including Supreme Court in favor of astrology - is it public stunt ??? When no other "Titled" astrologer worth his name, engaged in selling his knowledge has time or energy to defend it when it needed most - or is this a public stunt ??? I think it is time that we need to base our opinions not on single words or sentences of a person, but take a holistic view of everything and then conclude. I am sure you will agree with me on this !! Reproducing the article published on Sri K.N. Rao's website for ready reference. with regards, sreeram srinivas sreeram64 Kunjilal the astrologer who predicted his own death but failed K.N.Rao. On 20 October some private television channels covered extensively a peculiar news item. An astrologer of Madhya Pradesh by the name Kunjilal had predicted that he would die on 20 October 2005 between 3 and 4 pm. TV cameras were showing him, his family members and the crowds that had gathered to see it near a temple inside which Kunjilal was shown meditating with his eyes closed. I was asked by India's number one television channel, AAJ TAK, to participate in a live coverage along with a psychologist and a "rationalist" participating from Calcutta. I said that I wanted some details about the horoscope of Kunjilal which could not be got . The only information available was that he was born on 20 October 1930 at Betul with Tula lagna. The approximate horoscope cast on this basis was as follows. Why the "rationalist "? I asked privately why had they invited a so called "rationalist" when these fellows and physical scientists who had been shouting against astrology, dominating the English newspapers of India and the television channels with their irrational attacks on astrology since ages had lost three legal battles in the last three years. Madras High Court First they filed a case against the introduction astrology as a subject of study in Madras High Court where they had all the opportunity to argue against astrology. IT IS ALSO A DISGRACE <http://journalofastrology.com/images/kunjilal.gif> THAT NO HINDU ASTROLOGER WHO SWEARS BY EIGHTEEN RISHIS EVEN APPEARED AS A PETITIONER IN PERSON TO DEFEND ASTROLOGY. But astrology won the case in Madras High Court. Andhra High Court Then the case came up in the Andhra High Court where again astrologers won the case. IT IS ALSO A DISGRACE THAT NO HINDU ASTROLOGER WHO SWEARS BY EIGHTEEN RISHIS EVEN APPEARED AS A PETITIONER IN PERSON TO DEFEND ASTROLOGY. The Supreme Court of India The case came up in the Supreme Court of India where it was admitted to be heard on merits which was good for astrology as, if we won it, the controversy would be over for ever. I was ailing then and was not sure if I could sit in the Supreme Court for three hours at a stretch and could walk comfortably in the premises of the Supreme Court. Many astrologers can speak and write in English and could have filed petitions in the Supreme Court. NONE DID IT. I WAS THE ONLY ASTROLOGER FIGHTING THE CASE WITH MY AILING CONDITION. I argued the case effectively and astrology won the case. Why are the so called "rationalists" shouting now when the physical scientists have been lying low, having been beaten hollow three times now? What have these so called "rationalists" to say now except mouthing their ignorance which have been rejected by the courts thrice ? It was time for us 11 astrologers to laugh at and ridicule those communists, physical scientists and the "rationalists" who in collusion with fellow travellers and pseudo intellectuals in English journalism , for full four years between 2000 and 2004, wrote and said on television that introduction of astrology would amount to encouraging superstition. These denationalised and despiritualised Indians were those dangerous apes who for the time being seemed to be winning the debate and the battle till three courts dealt them mortal blows one after another and showed them their place. Now when they see some cultural-religious-spirtual-astrological themes dominating some television programmes, they feel helpless and ex-press their impotent rage. While physical scientists have to be on their guard because they think that they have a "prestige" to guard, the "rationalists" can afford to behave buffoonishly. But television channels want some sensation and they gave chance to so called "rationalist" who at no stage had anything intelligent to say. I knew that I had to suffer it and tolerate only so long as my patience would hold out. What I said 1) I started by saying that it was unethical to do what Kunjilal was doing, creating so much tension for his family, particularly for his wife who was shown in her semi-rustic dress praying to Lord Hanuman, as she said, on Karuva Chauth which fell on 20 October 2005. For those who do not know it, Karuva Chauth is observed by married women in northern India for the long life of their husbands. These women fast whole of the day, pray, and break their fast only after seeing the Moon after sunset. It was an ironical situation now. If Kunjilal died, his astrology would triumph. If he survived, people would say that his wife's Karva Chauth saved her husband !!! 2) I said that there were instances of such advance predictions made by astrologers about their own death. But they had foretold about the bad years and months of their lives at most and not the precise day and hour as Kunjilal was doing. 3) Kunjilal may have made his own calculations and could be running the dasha of Mercury which being the seventh dasha could be a maraka. Television channels were saying that he had predicted correctly the time of the death of many persons including his own father's who was also an astrologer. PSYCHIATRIC TREATMENT 4) Towards the end when the "rationalist" uttered something irrational half of which I could hear feebly because of some technical fault, and would not have known if the anchor had not repeated it, I said , rather harshly, that those who, without studying astrology scientifically, criticise it, should get themselves examined by pychiaritsts. The last remark of mine must have irritated all those who had carried on a vigorous campaign against astrology particularly in the English print media of India between 2000 and 2004 May after which the Supreme Court finally gave its verdict in favour of astrology. But one journalist did misquote me and said that I had felt strongly that it was possible. I heard two times the CD of that telecast. I never said that. The last laugh was mine, this time in a live television show watched by millions in India. I had asked critics of astrology to get themselves treated mentally. Kunjilal did not die and has done some damage to the cause of astrology by miscalculating the time of his own death and making such a big show of it. He did not at all appear to be a gimmick maker but a genuine, gentle and successful astrologer dreading death by misapplying his own astrology to himself. He started perspiring when it was nearing 4.pm which means that he had believed that he would die that day. But he was a relieved man later when he survived his own bad prediction , but had done damage to his own reputation and to astrology. That does not matter. All of us have some failed predictions. Astrology is a super science and astrologers are ill trained because of which instead of concentrating on good researches they play God and prescribe remedies as though they can perform plastic surgery on human fate. _____ vedic astrology [vedic astrology] On Behalf Of Tatvam-Asi Friday, May 12, 2006 12:21 AM vedic astrology Re: [vedic astrology] Re: Shri KN Rao's prediction... Guest guest
you keep on jumping from this to to that group and post my postings there. I already replied to you on jr group. shashi shekhar sharma <polite_astro wrote: .HARE RAM.
