on fridays i read soundaryalahari. I heard that soundaryalahari slokas

will do wonders for the materialistic problems. Sir, will you please

clarify my doubt and how to know about this.

Dear Shri. Datta:

 

Yes...Soundarya Lahiri is a panacea for all your problems. It is a

good thing that you are reading the Soundarya Lahiri on Fridays.

Soundarya Lahiri is both a bhakti and mantrik literature. The hymns

of Soundarya Lahiri have high mantrik potential as I can say from my

personal experience. In fact, I am what I am only due to the chanting

of Soundarya Lahiri and Shri Lalitha Sahasranaamam. Problems may be

there in life due to karmic influences, but you will tower above all

your troubles and make your mark in life with the power of these

potent hymns.

 

For overcoming financial troubles and for ensuring acquisition of

wealth, chanting the 23rd slokham of Soundarya Lahiri for 1000 times

45 days will be a good remedy. YOu have to chant this facing East or

North in the MORNING. The offerings should be Ulundu vadai (Vada made

with blackgram) and Paayasam.

 

I am planning to write a series on some powerful hymns of the

Soundarya Lahiri in the Paaraayanam group. I will guide you as to the

slokhas that are to be chanted and the procedure for chanting them for

overcoming various problems in life. However, even without all these

procedures, you can just chant the whole of Soundarya Lahiri....or at

least the first and the last slokhams with devotion everyday, and seek

the Mother's Blessings.....She is ever Merciful and is most willing to

Guide us and lift us from our troubles.
