To Shri. Karunaakaram:

The referrence to threat from fevers or other heat related diseases

was on a specific combination if you read my mail carefully. YOu seem

to have selectively picked up and quoting me out of context.

Secondly, every child would "experience" illness like fevers or even

infectious diseases....but not every child will be "threatened" by

those. Heat or heat related diseases include even some viral fevers

that are life-threatening, fevers that ultimately sap into the

vitality of the child, etc. Not every child that experiences a fever

dies due to that! One of the major principles of astrology is NOT TO

LET THE CLIENTS PANIC and to convey the truth as diplomatically as

possible. This is what I have done, and you seem to be unaware of it.

Hard words like "death penalty for self or close relatives" may create

unnecessary confusion and panic in an open forum like this. The actual

results have been given for the guidance of the astrologer to find out

which relative is likely to be affected by the dosham and what

remedies can prevent that untoward incidents.

Again, it is not as if "Baalaarishta dosham" is a death penalty....It

is not final.....It is subject to various moderating influences.

Baalaarishta dosham does not always lead to death, but it may create

troublesome circumstances. Only this can be said with surety. If the

horoscopes of the concerned relative is strong, the baalaarishta

dosham of the child cannot affect the relative. When remedies can

actually mitigate the suffering, what is the point in unnecessarily

creating a negative affect in the family? Countless are the instances

when innocent children are hated because some idiotic astrologer

predicted the child is dangerous to mother/ father or uncle and

thereby affecting family relationships.

Regarding your query, whether any classic specifically says only Guru

in lagna is effective in removing baalaarishta doshams, it is

inferrential logic. If you read the rules dealing with cancellation

of baalarishta dosham, you will find that there is a specific dictum

that states "Jupiter strongly placed in the lagna removes all

afflictions". There will be another dictum stating that benefics like

Jupiter, Venus, or Mercury strongly placed in the kendraas remove the

baalaarishta dosham. Sages never repeat their rules without good

reason. When the sages have speficially picked out the lagna kendram,

they imply that lagna kendram is the most powerful one in removing the

baalaarishta yogam unconditionally. The other placements are subject

to moderating influences. If astrology can be practised only by

reading rules every tom dick and harry will be a successful

astrologer.....It required inferential logic to understand the saying

of the ancient sages.

I am an eighty year old man and with my experience I have actually

seen how the doshams operate in various horoscopes, what results they

can actually give, and how to apply the principles stated in the

classics in reality and whatever I say is a valuable lesson gleamed

from practical experience combined with years of patient study.

Baalaarishta does not always lead to death. YOu are free to take it

or leave it.

Blessed be.

Mohanraaam.

penalty either to self / mother/father / to all the three referred to

above / maternal uncle or co-borns.But however I am given to learn

from your advise that Child born with Baalaarishta dosha are only

threatened by fevers or other heat diseases. Your message seems to be

something unique as no child would survive with out experiencing any

illness before the age of eight years. Do you mean to say that every

child born is crippled with Baalaarishta dosha?

> Further you were advocating that only Jupiter in Lagna kendra

could alone cancel the said dosha? Do the scriptures say that Jupiter

becomes ONLY powerful in Lagna Kendra alone? Or does it become

comparatively more powerful in Lagna Kendra than all other Kendra?

Does any the scripture specifically say that Jupiter in the Lagna

kendra could alone cancel Baalaarishta dosha? Please kindly expand.
