Dear members ,

Some time ago i was seeing something very nice about ayanamsa .

Yearly motion is around 50,4 seconds . If you divide that through

1.296.000 (the complete number of seconds within 36o°degrees), you

will get 12.960.000/504 , which is 180.000/7 or 25.714,285714 years

for one complete precession .

Krishna says in Bhagavad-Gita that during one day of Brahma , 14 Manus

appear .

Now it is possible to compute ; how many complete precessions are

happening during the lifetime of one Manu .

1 day of Brahma = 4.320.000.000 years

1 lifetime of Manu = 4.320.000.000/14 years or 2.160.000.000/7 years

now one can divide the lifetime of one Manu , through one complete

precession , which will give the number of complete precessions in Manus

lifetime.

2.160.000.000/7 divided through 180.000/7 , is the same as 216.000/18

which gives 12.000 .

So during manus lifetime there are happening 12.000 complete precessions

..

Is this not an amazing round number ?

My respectful obeicenses to you , Gerold

Wonderful sir, for giving the calculations. Scriptures say that the total life

Lord Brahma is 100 yrs. At the end of 100 yrs of Brahma this universe will

vanish and Lord Krishna will take away everything and again the first era of

this unverse will start in Phase II of universe. Can u figure out what is the

present age of Brahma? We are in the last era of this universe, the stone age or

kalyug, and on this Chaitra Poornima the 5107th year of stone age begins. It is

described in the Bhagvatham that the present stone age has a life span of

425,000 yrs.
