Guest guest
Dear All, Can anyone give explanation as to WHY we have more than 1 Ayanamsha and WHY nobody is consenting on ONE UNIVERSAL Ayanamsha..? I am not sure which Ayanamsha to follow when making a chart, is it KP, Lahiri, Raman Ayanamsha or should we use the normal SAYAN technique..? Is there any CLassical explanation to Ayanamsha and it's usage..?? Can someone give a Reason as to why these Ayanamshas exist together and why Astrologers are not working to AGREE on 1 UNIVERSAL Ayanamsha..?? kind regards, Mukesh
Guest guest
Dear Mukesh, You asked: > Can someone give a Reason as to why these Ayanamshas exist > together and why > Astrologers are not working to AGREE on 1 UNIVERSAL Ayanamsha..?? To answer your qn in 1 statement: Because nobody could clarify how Signs and stellar mansions got divided in the first place, and also because nobody could explain how the beginning of Aries sign was calculated by the Rishis. But this is an old story and now the situation has changed since, Chandra Hari was able to provide the fundamental rational behind the division of Signs and stellar mansions based on Surya Sidhanta, and is able to provide the mathematical proof for the same, and also able to find and fix the Ayanamsa calculation system and the Ayanamsa as per Surya Sidhanta. (But remember it takes time for the truth to get accepted, and the same is the case with True Ayanamsa) What is Ayanamsa? Ayanamsa is the distance between the Vernal Equinox and the Beginning point of Aries. What is 'Beginning point of Aris'? It is the point from where Sign and Stellar divisions start. It is also known as 'Meshadi' and 'Aswinyadi'. This point is 180 degrees away from the fiducial star 'Moola', which was used as the reference point for stellar divisions and Signs. What is Vernal Equinox? 1) Looking from earth, it is the pt where sun crosses equator. 2) It is the day when day and night would be equal. 3) Or speaking scientifically, it pt at which earth while rotating around sun, moves from one hemisphere to other. 4) Or it is the day when Uttarayana starts!! This last statement may cause another contraversy, so better hold it back, and don't tell to anybody. 5) ..... There could be more definitions, (some of them far better than the ones given above) but all of them represents the same point, and don't conflict each other. So there is no doubt about, how to fix 'Vernal Equinox' what so ever between astrologers and scientists. But the answer to the other question, "How the beginning point of Aries was calculated in Ancient times?" is not answered (that also with a sound mathematical proof based on Surya Sidhanta) by anybody except Chandra Hari. Nobody is agreeing on a UNIVERSAL AYANAMSA because those who proposed different ayanamsas based on their imperfect bits of knowledge (of ancient astronomy and the sidhantic base of astrology), where eager to uphold the erroneous views proposed by them, and so as their students. And today they are the majority, and true mathematical foundation and cocepts behind the ancient sidhantic astronomy where revealed recently only, and it takes time for everybody to become aware of it, and to get truths accepted. You also asked: > Is there any Classical explanation to Ayanamsha and it's usage..?? Yes. In Brahmasidhata we can see the sloka: "Ayanamsa pradathavya legne kranthou charageme..." Which says Ayanamsa calculation is necessary and also that Sayana sphuta + Ayanamsa will give nirayana sputa. The same quote one can find in Hora Ratnam and Muhoortha chintamani, as quoted form Brahma sidhanta. So for sure our ancient texts, supports and gives brief explanations about the Ayanamsa and its use. If you are a beginner just try to remember the following points only: 1) Ayanamsa is the distance between the Vernal Equinox and the Beginning point of Aries. 2) I would suggest you to use 'True Ayanamsa' (proposed by Chandra Hari') since it is the only Ayanamsa which bases itself on classics (of astrology) and gives us a solid explanation of its theoretical foundation. If you are not a beginner, then: Mess around with everything I said, and get totally frustrated with the system you follow, and start a new argument with me!!! Either because your ego won't let you believe that what you follow now is wrong!!! ) or because you want to get more explanations on the same with out trying to read/learn the huge amount of research data provided by chandra hari and others. In both the situations I would like to slip away from the arguments, since Ayanamsa issue was a subject of issue in some previous months in this forum, anybody who is ready to take some effort could find a lot of study material in the archives of this forum itself. Let everybody be happy with their own ayanamsa / or the ayanamsa they follow. If someone is able to predict correctly, don't ask which ayanamsa you follow, but instead try to understand what is the system he used and become his student and try to learn it from him. Ultimatly astrology is a system for prediction. So: 1) Anybody who predicts well is GOOD. 2) If he has a good theoretical foundation and understanding BETTER 3) If he can nicely explain it to others as well then BEST That is all to it. It is just fun (the whole astrological system). Fun for an inquisitive mind, food for thought, and source of vital knowledge. Enjoy!!!!! Guest guest
How to check, the Ayanamsha is correct or not. This is simple, Ayanamsha is when tropical zodiac and the sidereal zodiac were similar that is known as starting point and that is the date which, Lahiri, Raman or other people who gave the starting date which is known as Ayanamsha. If we want to see if the Ayanamsha is correct or not calculate the horoscope of the starting date of tropical and sidereal ayanamsha, we should get exact planetary positions and there should be not even a second deference in between the two. If we try to calculate this we will find that none matches exactly which proves that they are false. Guest Ram
Hello everyone Please help me to choose coorect ayanamsha This is Ramakrishna. I am really confused choosing with ayanamsha. I am really worried myself. My birth place is Mysore. DOB - Apr/23/1987 - 4:59 AM. I have Budha, Guru , Shukra and Rahu in my lagna(Meena). In Raashi - Neecha Budha Shukra went to Kanya (Neecha) Navamsha. Some people say it is Pushkara navamsha, but I am not sure whether it gives good or bad results. Rahu went to Dhanur navamsha. It is also neecha for him I was happy atleast I have Guru bala in my horoscope. Meena guru and Dhanur navamsha(In all ayanamshas). If I choose Raman Ayanamsha, even Guru also goes to Makara navamsha. As "Grahaanaam amshakam balam" Navamsha is very important to check the planet's power right! Even all shubha grahas are in my lagna I am facing so many difficulties in my life. My mind is strongly going towards spirituality. I have problems with my job... My guru is in Dhanur navamsha or Makara navamsha. Can you please anyone help me which is the correct ayanamsha to predict.
