Guest guest
Kind Attn : Renunw Reference : Your Meessage No. 10 in e-mail digest 3818 , dated 28th Feb. 2006 Query: Effect of Exalted Sun aspected by exalted Saturn Your query was addressed to Mr. Sreenadh. If you allow me to respond on this !! ( Good for me & others !! ) There is enough discussion on attributes of Sun and hence, I would not go in detail of it here again. Quickly - Sun is King or Ruler or Govt - all indicating authority. Saturn is Judge or nature's time. Are you seeing the connection here !! Ruler with good sense of Judgement !! Sun is also ruthless, while Saturn is work hard type. See the second connection. The native works hard in life & rise !!In the scriptures it is said that Sun in 10H means more work and less income !! What a contrast !! ( Atleast in India the some Govt. Servants do not get paid for their good work while in Private Sector they get 2 or 3 times that salary !! ). This exalted -Sun & Saturn combination makes for an excellent Ruler or Judge. i.e. People's Judge !! In writing above, there are many things which have been blissfully ignored for brevity of expression- but essential by the amateurs to understand the subject -whether it is mentioned or not - for people in this forum draw conclusions too quickly - without understanding the essence of it - the point is this exalted -Sun & Saturn is happening in which house, one has to note the running Mahadasha, D-9( Navamsha ) positions of this planets, other Position, Aspect & Conjunctions..etc - and then conclude the prediction. For example - Sun & Saturn aspecting each other is an "arista" to father. Should it happen in 3H & 9H then there is NO arista as per classics. What a turnaround of "twisted "logics ?? !!! No, the classics can never me wrong. They were written by Great Rishis - who were in divine communion. I am deliberately silent what this arista is upto or implies. ( Others to try and discuss ). Explore the answers for yourself - you will be surprised once the realization dawns !!! Generally, people like Mr. Souvik Datta (explore_vulcan )(he fundamentally differs with my logics -the feeling is Mutual - due to respect to him ), tend to find meanings in mythologies, which in a way is good, yet not the ultimate answer - sometimes. If ones Jupiter the Karaka for Children -in mythologies, Jupiter has been always reflected as Guru or Perceptor. Anything grey here !!??!!. If Sun is father, then why not take Saturn as the SON - suits the mythologies. Saturn is considered Karaka for Longevity ?? Why ?? Any mythology behind ?? While I know the answers - let it revealed by others !! In Kaalpurush kundali or horoscope, 5HL is Sun - representing children ??? Can somebody volunteer to fine tune this part !!! If you have this horoscopes of this combinations kindly share it with the events of those persons, ( offline ) so that we may use for the research purpose. I have few horoscopes where Sun & Saturn are in their MoolTrikona Signs i.e. own houses aspecting each other, or both exchanged their houses (!), but not with exalted - sun & saturn. I would suggest you refer the classics wherein the effect of each planet in a Bhava / House & planet when placed in a specific sign - all of this are written in detail which would enhance one's knowledge. I know Mr. Sreenadh would also respond to your query at his convenient leisure time for he is very good at long mails (!) :):) - just thought meanwhile this response would quench your thirst for knowledge !! I to e-mail digest, read them in leisure from office work - hence the delay in responding. Guest guest
Dear Srinivasji, Hahahaha...thank you giving me a hearty laugh..it seems you really did take my words to heart didn't you? :) "Generally, people like Mr. Souvik Datta (explore_vulcan )(he fundamentally differs with my logics -the feeling is Mutual - due to respect to him ), tend to find meanings in mythologies, which in a way is good, yet not the ultimate answer - sometimes. My goodness, where are you rolling the ball? It is a Saturday morning, relax, have fun and enjoy the world around you? Do you think 24x7 about astrology! :) Anyway, dear member, I wish I could say that "Oh! yes, so very correct Sir, that is my very nature, I see astrology from the eyes of religion or spirituality always!" I am so sorry to dissapoint you! That is NOT true. First of all I let me clarify why I mentioned nakshtra deities and not planets in your exaltion mail. The exaltion of planets are NOT best explained with nakshtras. They are best explained with Rasis. Refer to Parasara where he explains the Rasi wrt organs of Kalpurusha and exaltation of planets. However, your theory of planet relationships wrt nakshatra lords left me speechless. Why would Venus have to go to the nakshatra of Mercury and that too Revati , why not the other ones ruled by Mercury (like Ashlesha e.g.) to get exalted and get debilitated in the house of Mercury? If you did not know, please note that each of the 9 planets rule 3 NAKSHATRAS each..so does each of the planets have 3 EXALTATION and DEBILITATION points?? (If you consider Abhijit then it is ruled by Sun) Why would Sun be exalted in Ketu ruled Ashwini nakshtra and not Magha or Moola? Before you put your views, think my dear friend, question yourself! Reply with sound logic or else have a great day! Guest guest
Dear Srinivasji, Since you are so interested in "non-religious" references, here's the reason for specifying a certain degree to the exaltation of a planet. Source: http://www.dirah.org/shadbala.htm Quote: "When a planet occupies it exact degree of exaltation the planet gets 60 Shashtiamsas (Shashtiamsas are points). When it occupies the opposite point, its exact point of fall, it does not get any Shashtiamsas. " Unquote Hope this helps you clarify non-religiously Thanks Souvik vedic astrology, "Souvik Dutta" <explore_vulcan wrote: > > Dear Srinivasji, > > Hahahaha...thank you giving me a hearty laugh..it seems you really > did take my words to heart didn't you? :) > > "Generally, people like Mr. Souvik Datta (explore_vulcan@ )(he > fundamentally differs with my logics -the feeling is Mutual - due to > respect to him ), tend to find meanings in mythologies, which in a > way is good, yet not the ultimate answer - sometimes. Guest guest
Dear Souvik Dutta ji, Srinivas ji is a very leaned person, having a 24x7 hours duty as the head of a multi national organization. It is due to his pure interest that he finds time for long astrological responses. Actually I have high regard for him. Comming to astrology, especially due to one reason. Many astrologers are not ready to make bold assertions are predictions due to the fact that, they will err. But a sincere astrologer is always ready to do that, since even if the prediction goes wrong he wants make sure of the use of the technique he follows and its dependablity, and to study something from it. As we know only a child who is ready to fall will learn to walk. If a child is never ready to fall, he may probably never learn to walk!! All true leaners or gurus of astrology should be ready to fall at times, and make wrong predictions!!! Only a person with courage and sincerety can do that, not one who wants to cover him false image and respect will never be able to do that. If we find this quality in any astrologer we should respect him, since even if he makes some wrong predictions in a perticular subject/sub_branch_of_astrology, even then when his predictions start becoming true in that subject, it will always be true!!! Yes it is a paradox! The person who is failing (and keeping up his sincerety, courage and trust and trying again and agian) is the one who has the highest chance to win!!! This is a unique quality, I find in Srinivas ji, let us respect that. He is well learned and is the student of a great guru. Due to many similar reasons I have high regard for you as well. And you know that. The give and take of knowledge in the forum on Exaltation- Debilitation issue is good food for thought. Thanks for that. But I sence a bit of arrogance, and ego in some letters. If I am wrong please forgive. Let us share the knowledge and enjoy. Guest guest
Dear Souvik Dutta ji, Instead of the word religious/non-religious interpretations, I am using the word mythological. The mythological interpretation of the symbols and constructs used in astrology is great field of interest, so as the astrological interpretation of the mythological stories in epics and puranas. The scholar chandra hari is doing some research in this direction and a good amount of it is already published, and I feel that your thoughts are in similar lines to his. I truly respect that. But in usual thinking I almost always follow non-mythological or maths based derivations, logics or ideas while dealing with astrology. That means I usually think in those non-religious/non- mythological lines pointed to by Srinivas ji. So appreciate his views as well. So let us have a compromise, since both these paths can give very good productive results as we know from the works of many learned ones. If one is more familiar with or like any one of these methods and not the other then, conflict results. Let us see this possible pitfall and appreciate all good religious/non-religious (mythological/non-mythological) interpretations. BTW: (To all) Please don't mis-interpret that I am using the word religious=mythology!!! (I never mean that), by taking above sentences, out of context!! Love, Sreenadh vedic astrology, "Souvik Dutta" <explore_vulcan wrote: > > Dear Srinivasji, > > Since you are so interested in "non-religious" references, here's > the reason for specifying a certain degree to the exaltation of a > planet. > > Source: > http://www.dirah.org/shadbala.htm > > Quote: > "When a planet occupies it exact degree of exaltation the planet > gets 60 Shashtiamsas (Shashtiamsas are points). Guest guest
Dear Sreenadhji, I have had quite a few peronal mail exchanges with Srinivasji and we are learning (atleast I am ) the intricacies of the subject. I harbor no hard feelings for anyone as I cannot afford to since I am a student. As for having respect, I respect every life. As for having ego and arrogance, I better keep shut on this and audience be the judge. Nirguna Brahman remember! Guest guest
Respected Gurus and friends Since it was asked in the forum if anyone had an example chart of a sun-saturn exalted and mutual aspect, I would like to point out a navamsha chart that has Pisces ascendant with Sun in Second house with Ketu; and Saturn in Eighth house with Rahu. Besides there is Moon in Leo; Mercury, Jupiter and Mars in Virgo and Venus in Aquarius. Rahu is the atmakaraka. What would the Sun-Saturn aspect here indicate? Would it indicate a respected position in the family or happiness in spirituality or knowledge of astrology? Would it mean a government job? How would the concepts of ruler and judge fit it here? Looking forward to valuable input from all. I belong to you Smitha
Guest guest
Respected Gurus and learned members I have an example chart of sun-saturn exalted position. This is in the navamsha chart where it is Pisces ascendant. There is sun and ketu in second house, moon in leo Jupiter, mars and Mercury in virgo Saturn and Rahu(atma-karaka) in eighth house Venus in aquarius What is the effect of Sun-Saturn aspect here? Would it mean knowledgeable in astrology or religious affairs? Would it mean authority at home? Would it mean a government job? Would it mean a person who is good at analysing psychology of people? Looking forward to opinions of all Thanks and Pranams Smitha vedic astrology, "Sreenadh" <sreelid wrote: > > Dear Souvik Dutta ji, > Srinivas ji is a very leaned person, having a 24x7 hours duty as the > head of a multi national organization.
