Guest guest
Dear Respected members Prayers for the welfare of all during this special day. Today i was fortunate to watch a documentary on Kailas, showing a pilgrimage trip ,through Nepal and then Tibet all the way to Kailas. The documentary was virtually taking one to Kailas. On the way,the cameraman, had zoomed on a plant, which was exactly like the hood of a Serpent - It was great. Manas Sarovar,Budhist shrines, and Kailas from a distance etc were a treat for any devotee. The anchor said,as compared to Alps mountains or other,Kailas is not a continous range, rather an isolated one - as if it was dropped from heavens. The Kailas and Manasarovar, which Kalidas had poetically explained,in his works were, manifesting.Snowbathed Kailas with blue sky and white clouds as backdrop along with OM chants in the background; made it,the gretaest boon during a sivaratri day. Yamadwar -one small arch or passage was shown. It is about crossing the barriers of death or Time. The anchor concluded,I am leaving me here, when i am leaving Kailas,i am leaving the 'í' in me. Swami Sivananda as found in Srivastava ji mail ''Here is another formula for the supreme worship of the Lord: "O Shiva! you are my Self. My mind is Parvati. My Pranas are your servants. My body is your house. My actions in this world are your worship. My sleep is Samadhi. My walk is circumambulation of you. My speech is your prayer. Thus do I offer all that I am to you.'' Consider every Bhava as a confluence of Siva and Parvati.Consider it as their Bhavana(house).Consider the vargas -pranas ,indriyas, etc as serving them in the same Bhavanam. Then we will be ale to see all in confluence.Let Lord give us strength in not getting wrong conclusions. Thanks Pradeep
Guest guest
dear pradeep ji when you mentioned a plant resembling snake hood, i remembered the most auspicious flower of lord shiva viz. "nagalinga pushpam" with which i used to worship lord shiva in my native place in andhra pradesh. in several century old shiva mandirs in south india, we have these trees where nagalinga pushpams bloom from the bark of the tree. when the petals are naturally opened wide, in the middle of he flower a beautiful natural shivalingam is found within a snake with thousands of hoods. not only the colour and natural shivalingam with snake hoods are so beautiful and unique, the fragrance of it is also unmatchable. with best wishes arjun vedic astrology, "vijayadas_pradeep" <vijayadas_pradeep wrote: > > Dear Respected members > > Prayers for the welfare of all during this special day. > > Today i was fortunate to watch a documentary on Kailas, showing a > pilgrimage trip ,through Nepal and then Tibet all the way to > Kailas. The documentary was virtually taking one to Kailas. > > On the way,the cameraman, had zoomed on a plant, which was exactly like > the hood of a Serpent - It was great. > > Manas Sarovar,Budhist shrines, and Kailas from a distance etc were a > treat for any devotee. > > The anchor said,as compared to Alps mountains or other,Kailas is not a > continous range, rather an isolated one - as if it was dropped from > heavens. > The Kailas and Manasarovar, which Kalidas had poetically explained,in > his works were, manifesting.Snowbathed Kailas with blue sky and white > clouds as backdrop along with OM chants in the background; made it,the > gretaest boon during a sivaratri day. > > Yamadwar -one small arch or passage was shown. It is about crossing the > barriers of death or Time. > > The anchor concluded,I am leaving me here, when i am leaving Kailas,i > am leaving the 'í' in me. > > > Swami Sivananda as found in Srivastava ji mail > > ''Here is another formula for the supreme worship of the Lord: > "O Shiva! you are my Self. Guest guest
Dear Arjun ji Thanks a lot for providing this info.I do not know how this Pushpa mentioned by you looks - is it same as the one given by Souvik ji. What i had seen was a big flower and it looks exactly like a Serpent. My 2.5 year old son said snake, such was the reality.Brown/Merroon/Reddish in colour. It was a plant and not a big tree.Kindly confirm if we are having the same in mind. Thanks to Souvik ji. Guest guest
dear pradeep ji yes, it is the same flower as shown in the video furnished by souvik ji. in telugu language we were calling it "naga linga pushpam" (since the linga is within a naga) and the same is referred in this video as "shiva linga pushpam". whatever be the real name, this is the most auspicious flower for lord shiva and the belief is that whosoever offers even one such flower once in his life to a shivaling would not only be blessed by lord shiva but also get rid of all kinds of doshas from any serpant. referring to the long real snake like flowers, i have not seen the video file of yours but i am certain of many such mystic flowers in the manasa-sarovar region near mount kailsh and also in the valley of flowers. even few north-eastern states like sikkim are found having such mystic flowers. i remember having seen photos of these rarest snake like flowers from manasarovar or valley of flowers for the first time in a magazine "Heritage" a decade ago which used to be published by chandamama publications. would request members to share the existence of these most auspicious nagalinga pushpam trees in their respective cities so that people can pay a visit to the same and offer one such flower to lord shiva. with best wishes arjun vedic astrology, "vijayadas_pradeep" <vijayadas_pradeep wrote: > > Dear Arjun ji > > Thanks a lot for providing this info.I do not know how this Pushpa > mentioned by you looks - is it same as the one given by Souvik ji. > What i had seen was a big flower and it looks exactly like a > Serpent. My 2.5 year old son said snake, such was the > reality.Brown/Merroon/Reddish in colour. It was a plant and not a big > tree.Kindly confirm if we are having the same in mind. > > Thanks to Souvik ji. > > Pradeep > > vedic astrology, "panditarjun2004" > <panditarjun2004@> wrote: > > > > dear pradeep ji > > > > > > when you mentioned a plant resembling snake hood, i remembered the > > most auspicious flower of lord shiva viz.
